AC in 6148 is fine. Hoping 6147 is also good. Re butler: Jose is not on the ship. Domnic, our butler, told us Chip will be getting on the ship on May 1st. We had him as our butler on Constellation and I think you will be extremely pleased with him.

 

I will post pictures of refurbished PH later today. For those who were concerned about the new balcony furniture - it is, in my opinion, very comfortable.

We nearly blew away with the umbrella once in Antigua! I can understand why they may have removed it... it was quite nice at breakfast time on still days though! Are you missing it?

Not missing the umbrella. It was, in my opinion, a pain to deal with when at sea. Nice for breakfast while docked, but we can definitely live without it!

Do you know if the attached Sky Suites were also upgrade?

I don't believe 6146 and 6145 have been upgraded. But I will find out for sure next week as we are staying onboard for the next sailing and my family is in the adjoining skysuite.

Thank you! It would seem to me that if the SS staterooms are to go with the PH, then the furnishings would look the same. Those staterooms were starting to get worn down the last time we stayed in one.

Thanks for the info. I did a search on Chip - - and after reading more than I'd like about potato chips and casino chips :) I found some very good comments on Chip so feeling good about it.

Thanks so much for posting the pics. We are staying in 6147 on the Summit this August and are excited to see the new spruced up PH!

I have had Dominic as a butler in the past and he was wonderful, wouldn't mind him again. I know nothing about Chip so I'll take your word for it that we would be happy with him if he should be there in August.

Glad to hear a good review on the balcony furniture too!

I'll be in the PH on infinity in October, and I can't tell from the photos if my concerns with the master bath have been addresses:

 

1. Have grab bars been installed to help people get out of that big round tub? I found it difficult to get out of the tub my 2times in the PH on Constellation, and hope they have Finally handled that. Ill continue to bring my rubber bathmat with me when I book a suite....

 

2. Have they finally come to their senses and installed handheld showerheads in the PH bathrooms? It was shameful to find those fixed showerheads on Connie.

 

I can't wait until October to be pampered beyond my wildest dreams yet again. Hopefully the Weather Gods will let us have another hurricane season WITHOUT a storm in the Gulf of Mexico, so I can properly plan.... LOL!!

CruisersTimesThree - I'm also sailing Summit again in August for the last Bermuda cruise this season! And I think Chip is right up there with Domnic. They are my 2 favorite butlers.

 

Olive1950 - no grab bars in large hot tub. 2 shower heads in shower - one is similar to Rain-type shower head - the other is, I believe, handheld.

 

IsanTom - I much prefer Domnic to Jose so the fact that Jose is on vacation doesn't concern me. In fact last April we were in 6147 and Jose was our assigned butler but Domnic and he switched PHs so we could have Domnic. Jose was not on the ship in August 2015 either so perhaps he is assigned to another ship now,
