Have fun ladies! Love the Gem. We will be boarding on 05/21/16. Does anyone know if Leo (Guitar Player) is on board. Really enjoyed him in the past. Hoping he will be on board for our cruise.

Yep he is

We spent most of the day in the Villa. Maria and I were up top on the sundeck, I was under the umbrella most of the time, but then would sneak out into the sun for a while, then back to the shade.

I heard the girls below call me, and they were all in the hot tub, so I went down to jokin them. It was great but while we were in there, a crazy wind kicked up and it made it really cold to leave and then the wind was trying to kick us back in.

One of the girls ordered sandwiches for lunch and 4 of us were ashore, but the butler brought enough for 15 people. We had a great feast and then throughout the day kept munching on sandwiches.

Dinner was at Cagney's so we all got ready for dinner and then the casino, which was due to open at 10:00. We were sailing at 9:00, so we relaxed and had a great dinner.

We are having lots of laughs, and since there are a lot of us, I was feeling badly for the tables for two around us who were there for a romantic dinner, but there's not much we can do about that.

During dinner, Harriet decides to show us her talent, where she can flex her kneecaps, and then her butt, the way that body builders show off their pecs. We were laughing hysterically and then she sat down. As we got up to leave, Maria starting chatting with the table behind us and they were asking our story since we all seemed to be having so much fun, and Maria told them how we met, and then told them that Harriet had a special talent. Well, she had no choice but to share it with them, and we were all laughing.

We heard an announcement saying we were going to be late leaving due to provisioning and later we heard he'd also said we had divers doing some work on the ship.

We all headed back to the villa and we played Left Right Center on the deck, which I'd never played before, but we kept handing back all of the winnings at the end. During the game, we could hear there was an announcement but couldn't hear it, so I thought I should pop on CC and someone there would tell me what it was because the boards seem to know what's going on at all times. We all laughed, but I got my answer :)

Maria called our concierge Monica and she confirmed we were still having work done, plus we'd lost our spot in the shipping lane, so were leaving at 1:00. We also found out we were missing Great Stirrup Cay, which was a big disappointment. Some of the girls had never been there, and Geri had rented a cabana, but we all looked at the big picture and realized we're so blessed to be in the GV, so not really much to complain about.

We were headed to Nassau early and would arrive around 3:00 PM the next day.

Some wandered off to bed, others went for a nap, planning on going to the casino at 1:00 when it opened. Harriet and I stayed up, because there was an amazing thunder storm off in the distance and we chatted and storm watched under the cover outside and we chatted, and chatted and the next thing we knew, we were moving. We stayed out and talked some more, I have to tell you, this woman is amazing and I lover her dearly.

Around 1:30 we headed to bed, I read for half an hour and off to sleep. I woke up around 9:45, did a bit of work, then got dressed and headed down to the casino.

Thanks to Geri for the pics, I will do some sometime, and use Doug's tricks, but it's nice to have someone do the heavy lifting for you :)

Appreciate you following along, I'll be back with more tomorrow :)

Thank You- We missed him by a week back in November. He was on a break. We were the first sailing after the gem's dry dock.

Sorry to hear you missed Stirrup Cay. Have been scheduled 3 times to stop there. Have not made yet it. I am hoping on the 5/21/16 sailing, we will get to see it.

Have fun-sounds like a blast.

Why was GSC missed? Rough seas? Read somewhere there were propulsion problems. This is so special I am taking a bus to NYC Saturday morning to see you ladies exit the ship!! Will also be getting on the Gem.

They were at PC when divers were summoned to check the propulsion system according to another person on the ship. That delayed things so they would not be able to make it to GSC at the normal time.

Butlers are not included in the DSC, and it is just wrong to adjust it, the crew works so hard and to take that little bit of money away from them, its just wrong.

You might want to re-read that signature. He/she is poking fun at a poster called Love My Butler who informs people they can reduce the DCS. The poster you quoted is telling people they can increase it -- pay more. You might think that is bad, but many wouldn't.

Really?? Are we really going to hijack this thread with a DSC debate?

Seriously?

Yes I stand to be corrected, sorry my indent was not

to hijack, and I did read the post wrong.

This is a great review from the GV, I meant

no harm

No it isn't. Someone pulled this hijack crap on my review thread a few years ago and is the sole reason I don't bother doing reviews anymore. Give all the reading lessons you like, but do it in another thread and let these folks have their moment.

I WASN'T DEBATING THE DSC!!! The other poster did, and I tried to shut her up. Good Lord, Trip. Now you can't read either. Mugtech made an ******* signature to try to stir up trouble, someone took the bait, and then you did too. You're usually better than that.

Nice hijack, by the way. Congrats.

Sorry ladies. I tried to clarify a dumbass signature for someone that wanted to bitch about the DSC for no reason. Apparently it backfired. I was enjoying your thread, interested in it, otherwise I wouldn't even be here reading. But I'm gone now.
