How to use Excursion Fare $50 Credit...

When I had the $75 excursion credit last Dec I had to use it on excursions. I booked my excursions online and then the credit was given on board.

Do you mean that you were charged full price when you booked in advance, and then got OBC? If so, was that refundable OBC?

You need to call the shore excursion desk to set up your excursions. If you just do them online you will need to pay full price and then you will get the $50 credited back to you on your final bill. If you call the desk they will just put the discounted amount on your final bill.

I don't think it is such a bad credit. Granted it is not like some others but I'll take it over an arcade credit, free pictures or internet time. I get free drinks in the casino and that is enough for me. I don't need a UDP too.

Call shoreex to book your tour (not online). The tour will be charged to your onboard account. Once you complete the tour in each port, you get the credit. Credits can not be combined,,, one $50 credit per stateroom per port. If you don't take a tour you don't get the credit. If your tour is less than $50 you get the cost of the tour (eg a clam shell on GSC you get a $30 credit).

Overpriced shorex prices, NCL really jacked up their tour prices lately - looking at Bermuda as we are sailing in 18 days ... what a joke with the $50 per day per stateroom "credit" if you choose that. Checkout these bargains offered

$29 p/p for Snorkel Beach - chair & shared embrella

$39 p/p for Horseshoe Bay Beach

$99 p/p for St. George tour (1/2 day) or Tour of Island by Bus (4.5 hours)

We can do these for a fraction of the above, on our own time/schedule ;)

Go ahead, take the credit, go book the ship tour, spend more for the same - and, called it a win-win  Not. Anyone with last season's prices for comparison ... inflation-indexed, gotta make a profit.

Thank you all for contributing to NCL's bottomline and executive compensation, wow, just wow.

Snorkel Beach - chair & shared umbrella cost $8 for two with the credit, isn't that very cheap?

Must you use this for an excursion - or - is it part of regular on-board-credit??

Thanks in advance for the info.:)

It has to be used for excursions, and it is per port, so you cannot combine it and get a larger amount for one port.

Does this apply to Bermuda as well, since we are there for 3 days. Is it still only $50 per day per cabin.
Yes. You get $50 to spend each day in port. You cannot combine two or three days worth of credit and spend it all at once. You have to take an excursion every day to use the credit for that day, otherwise you lose it. Edited by hawkeyetlse
