HomelessBear Posted May 5, 2016 #1 Share Posted May 5, 2016 Haven't been on Princess for a few years so really looking forward to our British Isles cruise in June. Is this gorgeous dessert still on the 'Always available" menu at dinner? So hope so……I think I had it 12 out of 14 nights on previous cruises (and only because it wasn't available on the other 2 nights)! Thanks and happy cruising.:)
Bruinboy Posted May 5, 2016 #2 Share Posted May 5, 2016 It was on the Star Princess in early March. It was yummy, according to DW who ordered it a couple of times.

Alaskan Joe Posted May 5, 2016 #6 Share Posted May 5, 2016 I tried Creme Brûlée for the first time on a cruise ship I love this stuff. I also love those Molten Lava Cakes. Lava Cakes or Creme Brûlée?? What the heck were on vacation bring both.:D
Lucky TGO Posted May 5, 2016 #7 Share Posted May 5, 2016 I was on the Royal in January and I ordered it almost everyday day for 20 days. Tony
bigenna Posted May 5, 2016 #8 Share Posted May 5, 2016 Another Creme brûlée lover here. So disappointed on last month's Hawaii cruise on Star Princess they had switched it to pineapple brûlée. Nowhere near as good IMO. asked if they had any of the usual but no luck. Oh well, more of the chocolate desserts that cruise.
Thrak Posted May 5, 2016 #9 Share Posted May 5, 2016 (edited) I have had Crème Brûlée in land restaurants and, in general, it is smaller and not as tasty as what I get on Princess cruises. It's also surprisingly expensive in most places. I absolutely love it on Princess. Edited May 5, 2016 by Thrak

SadieN Posted May 6, 2016 #17 Share Posted May 6, 2016 (edited) Really? Once is enough...it's custard.... It's not JUST custard. It's the combination of the custard and the burnt sugar crackly top. Learnt not to get it in ATD on Princess as the burnt sugar is always soggy :( Edited May 6, 2016 by SadieN

Not soggy at all. :)

Rala Posted May 6, 2016 #20 Share Posted May 6, 2016 Really? Once is enough...it's custard.... OMG...and the OP obviously is very fond of custard or she wouldn't have asked the question to which she should have received a more respectful answer.
shredie Posted May 6, 2016 #21 Share Posted May 6, 2016 Really? Once is enough...it's custard.... There's that weird concept again. Some people like one thing and some like another. I know, it's very hard to wrap your brain around.
