NSWP Posted June 25, 2016 #251 Share Posted June 25, 2016 When they get to Dover, I hope some of the pax visit ye olde Dover Castle, well worth it, plenty of exhibits, WW2 and before. We visited Dover last October in between cruises on Aurora/Oriana. Had a car for a few weeks in England. It is unfortunate that the Sea Princess WC only has one day in that part of the world. It is a lovely part of the country and the Castle (and other defensive buildings) are very interesting.

I absolutely love Copenhagen. Yet, Copenhagen is the only place in the world where someone has tried to break in to our hire car. And we had removed all the contents overnight, per fine print of our insurance coverage.

Kiwi Kruzer Posted June 29, 2016 Author #260 Share Posted June 29, 2016 They are approaching the Swedish Archipelago for the sail into Stockholm. Looks like they will have an early morning transit through this beautiful area. Probably one of the most scenic sail ins , in the world , as they thread their way past wooded islands. Just checked the AIS again and they are no where near the archipelago or even the City of Stockholm. They have docked at Nynashamn which looks like a long way from Stockholm. Strange because the map was showing her future path as through the Islands , but it has now changed.

What a bummer for them, that would mean a coach trip into Stockholm rather than the sail in. Lucky it is still nice countryside.:D

Possibly, there seems to be a few other ships in as well so perhaps they hadn't secured a berth.

I was just thinking...how far ahead do they release these World Cruises...we booked way back in October 2014....and last year we sailed in and out of Stockholm...absolutely stunning...but that was on RCI Brilliance of the Seas on a Baltic cruise. Kiwi Kruzer Posted June 30, 2016 Author #271 Share Posted June 30, 2016 (edited) It could also have been timing....it would have an extra day or maybe 2 to sail through the archipelago. Stockholm is quite a way inland. Editing to add ..They have just docked in Helsinki , Finland. Edited June 30, 2016 by Kiwi Kruzer
