deliver42 Posted May 16, 2016 #1 Share Posted May 16, 2016 This is more of my observations than a blow by blow review. I was in the Yacht Club, so my experience could be totally different than others. Embarkation was a breeze. We arrived at the port at 11:15, and went to the Yacht Club tent, where we were greeted by a butler, given a drink, and waited for about 10 minutes till we were allowed to board. Our butler led us thru security, and took us onboard. He pulled pour 2 bags all the way. We went to the concierge desk, and they took our credit card, and gave us our drink coupon book which I booked online. 18 of just about anything for $84. He then took us to our cabin, which was more than adequate, though smaller than a suite should be in my opinion. Our butler was Darwin, and he was terrific throughout the cruise. We went to the Top Sail lounge to look around, then the 1 pool. Both places had buffets, and we had drinks. We then went on a tour of the ship, which was the most beautiful I've ever been on.The food and the service in LeMuse was excellent. Service couldn't have been better. The ship has an odd layout in some places, but nothing to get excited about. I found service throughout the ship to be friendly, helpful and quick. The shows are second to none, the same with their dancers. Plenty to do at night with live music at all venues.Calumet (the main buffet) wasn't bad. About what you'd expect. We only ate breakfast and lunch there. If you have any questions, ask, and I'll do my best to answer them.
Clarksfan1 Posted May 16, 2016 #2 Share Posted May 16, 2016 Based on the fact that I will never have a room with a Butler....I would say our experiences will be different.

vicocala Posted May 17, 2016 #4 Share Posted May 17, 2016 Based on the fact that I will never have a room with a Butler....I would say our experiences will be different. I used to think that way. But, three out of my last four cruises have been in the Haven or in a suite so things change, there is hope. :)
jewliana Posted May 17, 2016 #5 Share Posted May 17, 2016 Thanks so much for your review! We are doing the YC this Saturday! AND, its our very first time on the Divina. Do you have any tips on things you learned about the ship during your cruise? Did you dress up for dinner at Le Muse? Was everyone really dressed up for Gala Nights? ( I really need to start packing but our last cruises were on NCL and Celebrity where your man doesnt need a jacket any more. He is a bit spoiled now...LOL!!! ) Mostly I have to ask....what did your Butler do for you? What can you ask him to do? I have heard they will do anything but you need to ask...I cant even imagine what I would or could ask for! LOL!!! Thanks in advance for your answers!!! :)

rtn Posted May 17, 2016 #7 Share Posted May 17, 2016 We will also be sailing in the YC in a few weeks. We are flying into Miami so we are limited with our luggage. Interested in the dress code for men in the evening in Le Muse. My husband plans to dress business casual for all evenings...no jacket or tie. alexkrn46 Posted May 17, 2016 #8 Share Posted May 17, 2016 Dress is causal no jeans or shorts on formal night a shirt and tie for men and a dress for women.
Rare Essiesmom Posted May 17, 2016 #9 Share Posted May 17, 2016 Women dressed much more than men...at least in the non-Yacht Club part of the ship. But I don't think I saw a single tux. And smart casual...means different things. To women, it means smart. For men, casual. EM
sidari Posted May 17, 2016 #10 Share Posted May 17, 2016 All I ever see are YC reviews. Doesn't anyone go cheap? yes but some don`t like to admit to it! .... :) Seriously most do not bother to write a review and there are still a lot of people who do not know about CC, and in North America many have never heard of MSC or Divina. djiles52 Posted May 17, 2016 #11 Share Posted May 17, 2016 All I ever see are YC reviews. Doesn't anyone go cheap? Well I am going cheap on June 4th. I booked an inside room (which I usually do because I go to relax and sleep) but got upgraded to a balcony. No frills for me. Just give me my bed and food!!!! FLAMOM24 Posted May 17, 2016 #13 Share Posted May 17, 2016 Well I am going cheap on June 4th. I booked an inside room (which I usually do because I go to relax and sleep) but got upgraded to a balcony. No frills for me. Just give me my bed and food!!!! I used to only sail inside (hubby likes it dark to sleep and we're only there to sleep, shower and change really). HOWEVER, for my 50th, I booked the YC and I have to say, it's hard to go back to an inside...but I have, many times. Either way you go, it's a great experience on Divina but the YC is a nice treat if you can save up and do it, I highly recommend it. :)

I will be there on the 4th. Booked inside guarantee and got a oceanview. Looking forward to trying something different.

Looking forward to trying something different. The only reason we have a balcony is because of the 2 for 1 and ended up being almost same price as an inside. 5% savings for black card member and TA discount made it $1062 total for 2. YC is 3-4 times that most of the time
Rare Aixia Posted May 17, 2016 #16 Share Posted May 17, 2016 I also booked a balcony with the 2 for 1 deal. We usually book balconies, and considered YC this time, but the price for the balcony just couldn't be beat. We're really looking forward to it. (And the premium beverage package we bought instead of the YC upgrade!)

cruisinfanatic Posted May 17, 2016 #18 Share Posted May 17, 2016 Was luggage valet offered? May be called different things on each line. Where you put your luggage out the last night and you don't see again until home
deliver42 Posted May 17, 2016 Author #19 Share Posted May 17, 2016 I dressed for the first Gala night, but didn't wear a tie for the 2nd. Dress for men in LeMuse is casual. Just a sport shirt and slacks. The butler will do anything. They carried our luggage for embarkation. No line. For debarkation, we went what I thought was self debarkation, but the butler took our luggage down to the terminal. Then we went through customs, and was in our car at 7:40.The lobster in the 2nd Gala night is not to be missed. It was a 7oz tail, and I had a 2nd one. Delicious. The butler and room attendant work together. Whenever I had something from the mini bar, it was replaced. They also serve drinks in the lounge and occasionally at the 1 pool. Thanks in advance for your answers!!! :) Having been in the YC 7 times, I think I can answer your questions. :) Yes, folks DO dress up for dinner in Le Muse. In my 7 times, I have NEVER seen jeans or shorts in Le Muse. Women tend to wear dresses or nice pants and a top and men wear dockers or dress pants and a collared shirt. On formal nights, the gamut ranges from tuxes and ball gowns to suits and sparkly dresses or pantsuits. A jacket is not mandatory but most men do wear them. The butlers will literally do ANYTHING for you. Unpack and put away your clothes, escort you anywhere you'd like on the ship, carry drinks for you to your cabin, serve you canapes and drinks in your cabin, etc. We did not ask our butler to do a lot but they are ready and willing to do whatever it takes to make you happy.
