Exactly. I split the 125 red/black. Took the winnings and then played the 125 again. 4 hands later had 670 with the 5 dollar match play. I did NOT do insurance on green. Read the numbers board and played the odds.

I'm missing something -- if you had 250 in promotional chips and split them red/black and won on red, you would have 125 promotional and 125 cash chips.

The 5 dollar match play is only good with one $5 chip -- at least that is what I was told. The math doesn't compute - could you explain further.

I've got about 450 non-refundable OBC. Will be spending about 150 upgrading bev package and purchasing liquor. I need to convert 300.

It would only pay out an extra $5 for each voucher played.

I agree, but trying to figure out the math WAVTAM provided.

Perhaps he didn't always bet both red and black and still won.

The way I work it out.

Starting with $250 and splitting the bet each time, it would take 7 spins to eat up the $250 promo chips and would provide $248 in winnings and still have $1.95 left over in promo chips.

Sorry about math problem. Split the 250 and won 125, think I split the 125 with 75 on red and 50 on black. Won the 75. Split the 75 in half again 40/35, won on the 40. With then still 40 in promotional chips and 3 match coupons(Can use on any size bet) I had 255 in my pocket.

We used $500 OBC to get $575 slot credit on the Silly in May 2016.

This promotion "buy $500 get $575" was offered a couple of times during the cruise.

On the TA prior to the cruise that we cashed OBC we did the same deal for $500 cash. The casino was not very busy.

The deal was also offered for lower buy-ins with lower bonuses.

We played the money thru the 6/5 Jacks or better video poker machine (about 95% with proper play) and came out about even on both cruises. Of course on the second cruise we converted our OBC to cash.

We had considered playing Black Jack with promotional chips but the promotion for Table games was for in match play ($50 in MP I think can't remember for sure).

We felt the VP deal was a little better.

I would advise people to look for a poster at the cage giving a bonus if the want to use slot play or promotional chips to convert. It did seem like we earned points at a very reduced rate while playing through the promotional money.

Video Poker always earns points at a reduced rate compared to slots but we don't play slots.

The Promo money is on your cards and could be used $50 or $100 at a time any day during the cruise which was sort of handy if you like to play a little at a time.

The Connie had no deals for Promo money and no casino credits were earned on over $300 (promo credit) in the slots either. I felt it rather stingy as opposed to when we put $20 in cash in and earned 15 points in 5 minutes.

Well you were lucky as it is against their Policy and on the Connie it was being enforced.

I think that we must be talking at cross purposes. If you have refundable OBC [in our case, purchased OBC] remaining at the end of your cruise, you may have it refunded in cash or on your card whatever you choose. We have done it on many occasions, including on Connie. On our latest cruise, the person on guest relations did not understand what was permitted and had to ask the accounts department who confirmed that we could have the refund in cash.

I am only just off the Connie (9 May and 19 May) and the policy is that unless you have a cash account, the refundable OBC will go onto your CC card attached to the seaboard account. I know because I went to get the OBC as cash on the night prior to disembarkation, they stated this. I had a cash account, so they paid out. Both times, they had wanted to put it on my CC card (which they didn't have) as I had set it up as a cash account.

Like anything, the policy and the reality is often different depending on who is serving you.:D
