Shogun Posted June 12, 2016 #1 Share Posted June 12, 2016 Hi All For the first time in my cruising history I am going on a cruise which does not include going on a plane, as such no restriction on luggage I can take as much as I want, but after years of training to take as little as possible, I am still only at 20kg so what luxury item should I take, yours Shogun
beg3yrs Posted June 12, 2016 #2 Share Posted June 12, 2016 1) Bowling ball for those late nights and empty hallways 2) Nine yards of kilt for formal nights 3) Hiking boots for the stairs 4) Tennis rackets for the sports court 5) Scuba gear so you can assist with hull inspections
Shogun Posted June 12, 2016 Author #3 Share Posted June 12, 2016 Hi Beg3yrs 9 yards of kilt already packed, hiking boots already packed for trip to north cape, but could put steel tacks in soles for extra grip on those skinny steps but bowling ball sounds good idea, yours Shogun
HomelessBear Posted June 12, 2016 #4 Share Posted June 12, 2016 A dozen umbrellas to sell (at a grossly enhanced price but cheaper than the local shops) to those folks who expected nice weather!! Could you also get your lovely dog in your case? No one will notice I'm sure. Have a great cruise Shogun.

donaldsc Posted June 12, 2016 #9 Share Posted June 12, 2016 How about a barbeque, a bag of charcoal and some ribs just in case you are hungry or you want to bug the people on adjacent balconies. Unless I am on one of the adjacent balconies in which case you can invite me over for dinner. DON

We did a huskie dog camp in Alaska. They were lovely dogs but they did stink a bit! Enjoy the dogs and your cruise.

jeffbrig Posted June 12, 2016 #12 Share Posted June 12, 2016 Lol, I've been able to walk onto some cruises out of FLL. My big indulgence is taking my own snorkel gear with me. On a Christmas cruise, we once carried on a small fake tree, complete with battery powered lights. Now THAT got some interesting looks carrying it on during embarkation! To me, that is luxury!! We sometimes consider filling a case of our favorite wines ... even more luxury!! But, sometimes, especially if we are able to get out in our embarkation port, we buy a bag full of goodies for the crew. The always appreciate it.
