SilvertoGold Posted July 25, 2016 #2 Share Posted July 25, 2016 If you mean cold and chocolate, there is the Chocolate Mint Buzz. You can ask for it as a Chocolate Mocha Buzz. With vodka and Baileys (or with no booze), a ton of cream and a million calories. Great for Happy Hour: it can be your whole dessert, but first! 1ANGELCAT Posted July 25, 2016 #6 Share Posted July 25, 2016 What about mudslides. Yes. They do make Mudslides. Enjoyed them at happy hour[emoji3][emoji3] Sent from my iPad using Forums mobile app
RocketMan275 Posted July 25, 2016 #7 Share Posted July 25, 2016 What about mudslides. The Mudslide is a decadent mix of vodka, Kahlua and Bailey's Irish Cream. Add ice and blend. I'm sure they can make one. Add Kahlua to a Chocolate Mint Buzz.

Be still my heart! I would give my eye tooth for one right now. Oh, my yum. The great thing about them at happy hour is just get the one---as a double. Just think of all those cream calories you save by not having two! :D

Mudslides are my favorite drink & the Bartenders on HAL know how to make them.. Sometimes I have one instead of desert at dinner..:) I like Ruth's suggestion but after two I would need a nap..:eek:i

RuthC Posted July 25, 2016 #18 Share Posted July 25, 2016 Ruth, What do you think about chocolate martinis? First, let's get one thing out of the way---I'm a purist. A "martini" has gin, with a whisper of vermouth, garnished with an olive. Just because something is poured into a martini glass, does not make it a martini. Now that we have that out of the way, I had a chocolate martini once, and it was horrible. However, it was nothing like the recipe you posted below. It was a clear liquor, with a cocoa bean in the bottom of the glass. I don't know what else. One sip and I ordered something else. What you have posted as a recipe sounds delish! kakalina Posted July 26, 2016 #19 Share Posted July 26, 2016 (edited) Here's the recipe and a picture. http://www.food.com/recipe/godiva-chocolate-martini-219828 This is not what HAL serves for a chocolate martini. HAL's chocolate martini is simply Vodka, white crème de cacao shaken with ice and served in a glass that has been decorated inside with a bit of chocolate syrup. Umm, delicious. I have however requested the type in the recipe and had it made with no problem. In point of fact, last cruise they named my drink a Trishatini and that's how it showed on the receipt. The recipe for that is: equal amount of vodka and dark cream de cacao with a jigger of half and half shaken with ice and poured into a martini glass with a sprinkle of nutmeg on top. So very good. Not quite as many calories as the Mint Buzz and since I am not overly fond of mint it works better for me.
