A couple quick Anthem questions

Recommended Posts

We set sail on Anthem in 6 days :) but I have a couple questions. For those who have been on Anthem...Do they have the "Quarter slide game" in the casino. The one where you drop a quarter in and hope the quarters fall? Also, about the onboard communication package for $7.95pp (for people to text each other onboard). Can that be used with tracfones.(Easy way to keep track of my teens)

Thanks

YES!!!! I, unfortunately am quite addicted to that game.:)

Thanks

We will be right there beside you on that cruise. Addicted as well, although we learned how to play Blackjack on our last cruise and had a lot of fun with that, so we may do that again this time.

That game has worse odds than slots or roulette!

For me it's about length of play. I don't play in the casino to try and make money, it's not an investment, it's just for fun. I can take $60 into a casino and spend maybe 20-30 minutes playing slots or roulette before I'm broke, while I can sit at the quarter slide for an hour or two.

Yeah, I don't "gamble" in the casino at all. This game is more just for fun and you'd be amazed at the folks you meet and strike up conversations with. Last year on our cruise I met a gentleman who alternated with me for quite a while, watching each other's quarter machines so we could get more quarters from the change machine without losing our spots:) Talk about addicted!!! :)

I consider things like this to be pure entertainment and there's absolutely nothing wrong with that.

As Clarea said, download the Royal IQ app now. We used the communication plan(7.99) and it worked great. Each person has to purchase it through the app once on the ship. You then have to add each person you want to communicate with to the list of contacts. This is easy by adding their personal id code. The only other thing is that you all must keep the app "OPEN". If anyone closes the app and you try to text them you will get a message screen saying "Person Not On Line".

Hi there - I haven't done much research yet on the app yet, but now that I'm reading your post, it's time to stat.. Is it $7.99pp for the entire trip? Or is that per day? And for that price, DH & I can text each other?

If we don't spend the $7.99, we can still use it for reservations I assume?

TIA

Yes it will be $7.95 pp for the entire sailing to text or phone one another on board only. Yes again, you can still use the app to make reservations at no cost.
