Like in most countries the people in Bermuda either put up an umbrella or they get out of the rain. ;)

In many instances, the rain/shower & storm will pass over your spot on the islands within half an hour, very often - less ... and out of the way.

 

Duck & take cover, or, dance in the rain - locals welcomed it, as explained, it helps them replenish their collection of the well water, naturally - stored in underground tank(s).

 

Seriously, don't worry - stores at Dockyard & downtown in Hamilton, St. George's all have "rain poncho" for sale, and, they will bring them out for sale ... don't even need to BYO in case it rain.

Lots of people get wet when it rains.

Some stay indoors and they ..... don't get wet.

Let's see. last week...Wednesday we got rained on while on our mopeds...no big deal..when is was coming down really hard, we stopped at the bus stops to get out from the rain....

 

the Breakaway staff hands out rain ponchos when leaving the ship if it is raining out.....

Were they handing the ponchos out free or for a charge? Every time I've seen the ponchos on the way out NCL has charged a small fee for them. I find it hard to believe the "new" NCL is giving them out for free.

2 years ago, while waiting to board a tender back to the Gem, it started raining and 1,2,3 free phonchos.

Go to the glass blowing factory dockside -it's great. One of our favorite places. We always bring a piece or 2 home.
