Tansy Mews Posted October 18, 2016 #31 Share Posted October 18, 2016 (edited) We love the regular afternoon tea. Quiet, friendly and yummy food. If we have been out for a busy day, it is wonderful to sit and enjoy waiter service and a bite or two. We don't care for the gala tea which has on one occasion turned into a bun fight. Well, almost! The food looks wonderful, but it can be too crowded. If this is your only experience of afternoon tea on Oceania, you may not realize how much of a restorative the everyday high tea can be. The special brunch is wonderful though. Come for a late breakfast or for lunch - your choice. Rare ronrick1943 Posted October 18, 2016 #34 Share Posted October 18, 2016 The Grand Brunch is a nice perk, however if "O" is going to do one it should be on every cruise or none at all. It's poor marketing for people to be talking about it when other have never been to one - and think they missed something "O" should have given them. Obviously it is a lot of extra work for all the staff and it just is not possible on all the cruises. Also, on a very port intensive Med cruise with a port every day, all that work would be wasted as everyone is out on tours - just not practical and waste of work and food in a case like that. It's nice that they have it on some cruises though, especially with several sea days. Every cruise is different for many reasons - this is just one of them :)

It is nice when O can have these lunches but I don't expect them every time. When they happen it is just an extra perk for whoever is lucky enough to be on board. Probably 3 or 4 out of 10 cruises for us. Good job O. :):):) Edited October 18, 2016 by RJB
