Bermuda is good to go

I just an e mail from the Bermuda department of tourism( not sure why I got it) that says the Island is up and running after Nicole.

They claim all hotels, most attractions and services are operating , including beaches. They went on to say most have power back and bus and ferry service will be running.

Hope that puts some folks here at ease on Bermuda.

Glad to hear Bermuda is up and running. Happy that they were spared tremendous damage from Nicole. I have family sailing on the Breakaway to Bermuda this Sunday, they will be happy to hear this news.

I too rec'd an email from the Bermuda Tourist Board but I had

written them for info (map is very handy) and am SO GLAD I do not have to repack for colder climates or visit unwanted ports!111

[emoji2] great news - we leave next Sunday for the last Breakaway trip of the season and was hoping that we wouldn't have to go to Nassau.

Just checking the Dockyard webcam, it's pointing at the marina area, several boats are now back in the waters and one of the ferry is also docked there. Partly cloudy sky and still windy, probably still going to be choppy tomorrow when the Dawn arrive from Boston. Also saw 2 island buses moving around so appeared to resume services - :)

 

Good news for all those booked & sailing there as the BDA cruise season (for NCL) is coming to an end for 2016.

Bermuda has STRICT building codes...ALL of their buildings are required to withstand winds of at least 110mph.....very forward thinking of them!!!

I just watched the Bermuda Webcam, and van cabs are starting to line up at the pier. I guess that the Dawn will arrive today.

The Dawn has docked in Bermuda. However, she's at Heritage.

 

Does that mean that the Anthem will use Kings Wharf when it arrives tomorrow, or is she going elsewhere?

The Dawn moved back into Kings Wharf, and the Anthem is at Heritage.

 

The very size of the Anthem, makes the Dawn look like a bathtub boat.
