Carnival NEW Farewell Show!! Anyone else excited?

I don't even understand -- are they revamping "Carnival Legends" (I assume that's the "farewell" since it's always the last night).

We usually book the Steakhouse for the first and last nights of the cruise, and it always runs into show time or we have to be rolled back to our rooms to collapse in exhaustion on the last night, so I've never seen Legends (or particularly wanted to, but I couldn't watch Broadway style shows for 7 nights straight anyway, so that's not a complaint - we always go to maybe 2 and they're fine, then comedy a few times and it's great, and see a movie or two on the deck... we like variety).

So they're going to show a farewell video at Legends? Or ending Legends? Or is the lip synch thing part of Legends? I don't even know what it is we are to be excited about in the first place, OP. A video and a message from the cruise director? I don't really dig the "Welcome Aboard" show either, to be fair, so it's probably not for me, but I'm not even clear on what it *is* you're saying is exciting.

Legends was going away being replaced by the super duper lypsynch show. Not sure if this is combined with farewell show or perhaps lypsynch will be earlier in the cruise and replace a professional entertainer.

Probably a good thing you can request a free deck of cards from guest services :D

They are not free anymore. Just came off Splendor and found out the cards are $1 available at casino.

Also those cheap plastic coil lanyards are not free to anyone either. A friend asked for one and they put her card in a machine to made sure she was actually playing. Then it was free. You must play to get the plastic coil lanyard that is worth about .10.:rolleyes:

Well, if you can't afford a deck of cards for a dollar you probably shouldn't be cruising. LOL ;) :D

HAHA, I guess that's true, but I didn't want the deck of cards anyway, we overheard someone else asking.

I didn't see what they looked like or anything either, I'm not a big card player. :p

Got a deck of cards yesterday on the splendor at guest services without cost.

Oh and the farewell show would have a lot of work to be as bad as the welcome

Show.

They did. It was listed in the Fun Times/Capers. Free drinks. Carnival said it was poorly attended and stopped it.

Was that an actual show or just a party?

It was listed in the capers on day 1 or 2 and scheduled at 5 pm on the last night of the cruise when people were busy packing to go home or getting ready for dinner.

It was setup to fail.

Once on Inspiration I was the only person to go. I went next door to the casino bar and told a bunch of people about the free drinks. Next you know the place was packed with people ordering Long Island Iced Teas. Had a blast! Lots of crew were attending. It was one of my favorite parties on the ship, too bad it's gone.

There were times when there were more crew serving drinks than passengers.

Miss the good old days.
