Best night for Steak House

We will be on the Feb 4, 2017 sailing of the Freedom of the Seas (Labadee, San Juan, St. Martin and St. Kitts) wondered if there was a better night to go to the steakhouse (when the food is so so in the dining room)

We avoid the MDR and its confusion on the first night.

The first night. Usually 20% off when you board(1st night only) Look for a table with a waiter and the menus to the specialty restaurants. Enjoy.

We are doing Chops Grille on the first night of our cruise. Last time we did Portofino the first night and Chops the second. Then we went to Chops again a few nights later. I love the scallops appetizer at Chops.

For me the best night at the MDR is the first night. For some reasons we are able to exit the MDR in about an hours. The other days we get stuck[emoji58]

If you don't want to get dressed up for formal night then I suggest one of the formal nights.

We dined at Chops on the first night of our last cruise and we will now make that a tradition. It was quiet and the service was outstanding. We don't care for the confusion and noise of the first night in the MDR.

Every night? We have gotten to the point where we tend to not go to the MDR. We are more fans of the specialty dining. Yes, more cost, but that is our splurge.

I can't remember the last time we ate at a MDR. We are fans of specialty dining and try something new everyday. We do steak twice on the cruise. I don't like going on the first night because everyone wants to be there because there is a discount and service is usually a bit slower. Second and last nights are the best for us.

We usually like to go to Chops on the second night, which is traditionally formal

night. It just makes it all the more special feeling and even more reason to

dress up. By that night we are more relaxed and settled in. Lots of time

to get dressed up, enjoy some happy-tisers and "adult beverages" before

dinner.

The last night is always a Windjammer dinner. It's been tradition since tips in envelopes at end of cruise stopped. Usually a quiet evening since we start the sad goodbye.😭

Thanks for all the prompt responses, greatly appreciated. I was trying to find out what night Pomodoro is in the dining room as that is our least favorite menu (Fish mash?)
