has anyone flown Alaska airlines lately???

I am flying into Seattle to leave on an Alaskan cruise in May and looks like Alaska airlines has the best rates. I've never flown with them before. Has anyone ever had any good, bad, etc...experiences with them? Any info is appreciated. Thanks...

I flew about 5 years ago - anchorage to Vancouver - couldn't fault them. I see they also fly from Hawaii to anchorage .

Alaska is my preferred airline. I always look there first. They have the best mileage/visa plan as far as i am concerned. (Yearly BOGO, money+miles flights, etc)

This probably belongs to West coast Departure board, but being from Seattle, Alaska is also my preferred airline. They partner with a lot of other airlines, and have a few sales per year, buy miles, get miles free. Because of their partnering, I have been able to fly business class to Australia and Europe (this year on Vista) with miles. Also, since I have their credit card, I get one bag free.

I connect through Seattle when I fly. Alaska is my favourite airline. Great customer service. They have a price guarantee that they will match a lower price and I used it recently.

I'm flying American to Dallas then Alaska Air to Seattle, doing an Alaska cruise from there. Did the same thing a few years ago but did Alaska Air to Anchorage. Flights on Alaska Air were very good.

We use Alaska often, even to Hawaii. Usually on time. We are happy with it.

As Northwesterners, they're our preferred airline. Woudn't hesitate to book with them - especially if they have the best price.

Still the best airline in the United States. Simple, straight forward, never an issue with things. It's a seat that's no bigger than any other seat, but the staff just make it all work.

If you're considering premium cabin then they're really lagging behind the other carriers now in FC. 10yrs ago they were above average but other airlines have improved their game and AS haven't really done anything other than trim back service.

 

Never personally flown them in anything other than FC.

Used to fly them from BOI but with the American US Air merge and now the Virgin merge I can't fly them to LAX or something like that.

Yes their First Class or Business class (only 2 class service) does not compare but as an airline their hard product is fine.

Hopefully the takeover of Virgin America will raise Alaska's first class standards; for the time being VX's first class product is among the best in single-aisle planes in the US.
