I'm doing an B2b starting next week.

For the first week I had a Fantasia Balcony booked.

I logged on last night to look at the cost of the thermal spa for the week and after I purchased it, I noticed that my cabin number had changed from dec 11 to deck 15 I was a little miffed at first  because i had booked one of the large balconies and didn't want to be moved but when I looked up the cabin number 15034, I saw it was in the YC.:D

This morning I received new e docs confirming that I have been upgraded to the YC for the first week.:D I am already booked in the YC for the second week.

Now I'm even more excited for my cruise next week!

I guess I will have to call and cancel the drink package and thermal spa passes that I booked for that week.:D

That's fantastic, I bet you got it because you had already booked the 2nd cruise in the YC. Saves having to move cabins at the change over point.

I wish I as that lucky sometimes

Pete

PS which ship? 15034 doesn't exist on Divina , 16034 does and it's one the big YC1 cabins

my guess is your on Fantasia as Splendida isn't doing B2B at the moment as its doing the W. med circuit until April

We are on the Splendida.

We made our own B2B by just booking the 2 cruises. The have the same itinerary so we will be going to each port twice.

We will still have to change rooms, just not as far apart. We will be in 15034 for the first week and we are in 16035 for the second week.

Give my regards to Arvind on reception, he became a very good friend on our 28 day cruise on orchestra in April and our 7 day cruise on Splendida in sept.

Any problems he can try and sort for you but as you are now YC you probably won't use reception.

If you do please say merry Xmas from Mr Peter, Mrs Andrea and Bedford Bear

he'll know exactly who it is .

When receiving the CU do you still get all the YC privileges? I do believe that there is a disclaimer regarding this in the T&C.

I definitely know that you don´t get the privileges when your upgraded lets say from an outside to an Aurea balcony. You just get the cabin.

Not sure about YC.

If you're in Yacht Club you're in Yacht Club. All perks included because they're all within the YC area - lounge, bar, pool, spa access. Aurea perks are different beause you'd be in the general ship area for everything.

That isn't what their site says, go into frequently ask questions then to upgrades

I read the same thing you get the room but not the perks of the YC

If you're in Yacht Club you're in Yacht Club. All perks included because they're all within the YC area - lounge, bar, pool, spa access. Aurea perks are different beause you'd be in the general ship area for everything.

It would be very difficult to sort out dining for a person in a YC cabin but not getting the full YC perks as the YC has its own private dining room, and telling someone they can't get a drink in the YC would result in real problems.

If someone told me that I would be kicking Iinthe Hotel Director's door and waving my Black card (earned the hard way) in his face.

I wold suggest that being upgraded to YC will get all the perks

..Other than that it is definitely that an upgrade is cabin only and not the perks that go with the experience

We are booked for that exact cabin in July - would it be rude of me to ask for a full photo or video tour on your return? I have been struggling to see the exact cabin online (seems only Davina is widely avail).

It would be most appreciated!

Hope you have a fabulous trip!

I will try to get some photos but I don't do video.

I will also try to report about the drinks outside of the YC.

Hi Lois

We have been given a free upgrade to YC too! Can you give me your views on it and how was it? We have brought a drinks package, not sure we need it now though???

This is directly from MSC regarding Divina:

My Q: Also, on the YC drink package throughout the ship - all of our e-tix say it is free drinks only in YC venues; can you confirm that the new program is available on 3/18 or let me know when it begins?

Their A: The all-inclusive drinks throughout the ship in YC will begin with our summer sailings on 4/1/17 forward.

As they say, timing is everything

Did you book through MSC or somewhere else? Wondering if they only do this for folks who booked direct.
