hihilo Posted December 27, 2016 #1 Share Posted December 27, 2016 During a driving / land tour of Iceland in MAY of 2016, we saw "X" ships at several ports. I am hoping to book "X" for Mid to late June in 2017 / Iceland. But various on-line cruise sites, + "X" site do not show this itinerary. Could it be ???All sold out ??? ??? Thks for feed-back from anyone who has advice or info on this.
BettyCruiser Posted December 27, 2016 #2 Share Posted December 27, 2016 I think they go only once or twice a year, you would have to broaden your time range.
CruisingChick Posted December 27, 2016 #3 Share Posted December 27, 2016 (edited) X visits Iceland once a year in May. In 2017 it also happens to be the President's cruise and I believe it's close to being sold out. We were suppose to visit 3 places in Iceland but they switched one port out and are doing Dublin, Ireland instead. In 2018 it's only a 10 night cruise and I believe there are only 2 stops in Iceland. Rare little britain Posted December 27, 2016 #7 Share Posted December 27, 2016 (edited) I can only see Eclipse from Dublin or Silhouette from Southampton in 2018 . Nothing from Southampton in 2017. Strange. Edited December 27, 2016 by little britain
Sonoma fans Posted December 27, 2016 #8 Share Posted December 27, 2016 X is doing three trips to Iceland in 2018. 4/30, 5/10, and end of august. The earlier cruises leave from Dublin on 10 night itineraries, the august sailing is longer. We booked the 5/10/

hihilo Posted December 27, 2016 Author #11 Share Posted December 27, 2016 THKS for the many ( + quick ) responses. I will already be in Ireland in early JUNE with a family gathering, so had hoped to "tack on " an ICELAND-cruise adventure, for the middle of June '
Rare ghstudio Posted December 27, 2016 #12 Share Posted December 27, 2016 (edited) Although a bit painful to go through each date...all of the arrivals in Reykjavik are shown on http://www.cruisetimetables.com/cruises-to-reykjavik-iceland.html http://www.cruisemapper.com/ports/reykjavik-port-545?month=2017-06#schedule http://ports.cruisett.com/schedule/Iceland/598-Reykjavik/September_2017/ and I'm sure there are others. Some locations are better visited on other cruise lines....eg. Norway coast, iceland,.... Edited December 27, 2016 by ghstudio

Just my opinion. DON It's easy to get to Dublin....you can do that anytime. It's not so easy to get anywhere in Iceland other than Reykjavik unless you are on a cruise or a tour. I agree with the previous poster....and as I suggested before, take a look at some of the other cruise lines that do 3-5 stops in Iceland. The itinerary makes the trip....not the ship. Rare Hlitner Posted December 29, 2016 #17 Share Posted December 29, 2016 HAL has several cruises that stop at various ports in Iceland (and Greenland). Hank
Rare Essiesmom Posted December 30, 2016 #18 Share Posted December 30, 2016 Go to http://www.cruisetimetables.com and from the Ports of Call list, choose Reykjavik, Iceland, then June 2017. there are lots of cruises that stop there, even one on CMV Magellan that leaves from Dublin. Just an aside...Magellan is the former Carnival Holiday...EM
