I have a nice little gas fireplace in my family room, so when I feel chilled I turn that on and with the ceiling fan I have a just-warm-enough room without jacking up the thermostat for the rest of the house. Mmmmm..just right!

After Christmas we were away for 4 days with neighbours looking in on the house and cat. We arrived home New Year's Eve around 9PM to a house that was c-c-cold. 10C (50F) and our bedroom over the garage was 8C (46F). Nobody could come to repair the furnace on NYE, so we turned on both gas fireplaces (main floor and lower level family room), brought out our plethora of little elecrtic heaters and tossed the electric blanket on the bed. By 7 the next morning, the whole house was toasty warm 20C (68F). Good to have the gas fireplaces.

Back to cruising - I think we need a ZOOM.

Smooth Sailing ! :) :) :)
