Beach clubs on Cozumel

Hello,

Are the clubs very crowded when there are 5 large ships in port (22.3.17)? I may consider something like a day pass to Iberostar Cozumel instead for a less "party" athmosphere.

Thanks!

This is our favorite:

It is a quick taxi ride and they only allow 100 (?) people in per day. I see you are going on "spring break" and you say 6 ships are in port that day. I would reserve quickly.

We have done Nachi Cocum before, and are booked again for our upcoming cruise. It's a nice beach with good food, drinks and service --- and it is never too crowded since it does limit the tickets it sells. Not really a party atmosphere, however, which may or may not be a good thing!

You might want to post this question and do some homework on the Cozumel board: http://boards.cruisecritic.com/forumdisplay.php?f=210

5 ships is about average for Cozumel. You can book an all-inclusive place like Nachi Cocom that limits itself to 130 guests per day to ensure a quiet, relaxing, and un-crowded day at the beach for about $55 each.

Your other option is Paradise Beach - $3 admission, great facilities, nice beach, and HUGE pool. The place is so large it never gets overwhelmed - you can always find chairs/shade.

Both will be about a $17 cab ride each way (fare covers up to 4 passengers in the same cab, so pair up with others from your roll call ;))

We did Celebrity ship's excursion Salsa Salsa Margarita that was held at Hotel Cozumel..had a great time & and were able to enjoy their huge unheated pool after the program...

On our next trip to Coz we booked a day pass online thru third party...pay at door. We took a short cab ride & learned we had to pay cash..luckily we had it. The pool was freezing and lunch inedible...really bad. Could not snorkel or use the small beach area across the road due to wind issues. Would not rec day pass at this hotel .

We have had lots of rain / storms at Coz...Celeb very difficult about cancellations for weather issues...now we will just stay on board and play by ear...

Nachi Cocum is quiet and limited to 100 guests per day.

You cant beat Nachi Cocom. Strictly limited to 100 people per day on a large beautiful white sand beach with palapas, lounge chairs and a big pool. For $55 ALL INCLUSIVE including a huge lunch (served on the beach) and unlimited alcohol its a great deal!

We are huge Paradise Beach fans!! Easy to only pay for exactly what you want. Incredibly friendly and responsive staff. Barely any people coming up to you to buy things - really only henna tattoos in our experience. Clean(!!) bathrooms and changing rooms.

Had the AI at Mr Sanchos last week and had a great time! We were given our own table for 4 with umbrella and our pick of loungers. Drinks were good

and came often but the food was really good. The grilled grouper filet was one of the best I have had anywhere. Lockers available for deposit, and the restrooms and changing rooms were spotless. Has a swim-up bar but didn't use it.

Gabby was our waiter and he was fun!

Hope this helps.

Just off Oasis of the Seas over Christmas (and couldn't be happier that our next cruise is on Celebrity!). We enjoyed our fourth trip to Paradise Beach, this year with 7 ships in port, and over 20,000 passengers. Still, while Paradise had, I'm told, around 1200 guests, there was no trouble getting four chairs and umbrellas together, great bar and food service, and a very well done beach massage. They have a large fresh water pool, which was also popular, but by no means crowded. Free wifi. We'll be back next year.

Taxi back to port was caught in a long line. Probably 20 minute return ride.

If you want secluded, this isn't it, but its a very nice beach, and you should have a great day.

We've enjoyed Nachi Cocom, too. But there's no good snorkeling there. This time we're thinking of Iberostar.

It's mentioned that their limit of 100 means it doesn't feel crowded. We were one of the last to arrive and they had to create a place for us under a tree. It felt crowded to me based on what others had described. It bothered me until the first mojito kicked in. Then we had a great time.

So just temper your expectations if you decide to do it. And enjoy!
