If you are asking if they use the ships own lifeboats to tender at Cayman, no they don't. They use a Cayman tender service.

That is Reflection in your photo, we used those local tenders this past December on Reflection. I was on Silhouette in 2015 and we used those same local tenders at Cayman. We also used them in 2014 on Silhoutte. Years ago they did use ships tenders but I don't think they would do that now that local tenders are available.

I think it would depend on how many ships in port, they may have to use their own.

I have been there numerous times and we have always used the local tenders. That has been the case when there were numerous ships visiting the port.

In November we used a local tenders. Much better than the lifeboats.

Local tenders have to be a big improvement over past practice.

 

We no longer get off at GC....ever since we tendered in lifeboats in very rough seas...someone got hurt getting on and was taken back on the ship for treatment. Our tender made it over to port...they suspended tendering and reversed side of ship for boarding tenders.

 

On Ref more recently we were having lunch in B on 5 when they called for open tenders...after 1 pm..Guess it was a long process.
