Favorite Ship? Itinerary?

Favorite Ship: Any ship where you can breathe normally in the casino without contracting second-hand cancer. NONE.

Favorite Itinerary: ALASKA, by far, and before I went on the Alaska cruise I was one of those people who were told by others "You have to cruise Alaska!" and shrugged. Why? The ports, the seafood at the ports, the scenery and the fact that you see amazing scenery all the time instead of just ocean 90% of the time. Oh, glaciers in person are SO AMAZING, as are bald eagles up close, salmon just swimming by your river raft by the dozens, and if you're lucky, a bear spotting. We saw seals, rams, whales. Pretty close. And the naturalist they bring on board is AMAZING - and a much needed break from the cruise directors.

Favorite ship overall is Celebrity Silhouette, but within the Carnival fleet so far its Sunshine. Love the larger Serenity with its own pool and the large number of food options.

Favorite itinerary is a toss up between Alaska and a ten night Southern Caribbean that included Cartagena, Panama and Costa Rica. While I am game for going just about anywhere, I prefer when possible to avoid the overly touristy ports.

Favorite itinerary- Southern Caribbean with St Thomas, St Lucia, Barbados, St Maarten, and St Kitts. So much to do in all of the ports I could probably do it several times without getting bored.

Favorite ship- NCL Gem overall, CCL Pride on CCL. Liked the size and layout of both ships. (I suspect that CCL Glory may bump the Gem out of the number 1 spot, but won't know for sure until November).

Don't have a favorite ship. But the ship that was the worst was the Holiday which Carnival got rid of. What a dump!.

I loved it. Of course being my first, I had no idea what to expect

I would sail on that ship in a heartbeat. Especially now that its totally redone and under a new company. You might call it a "dump" but it by far had the best food and service of any cruise ship or line Ive sailed in my opinion. I like 1400 guests instead of 4000 :)

Can't say that I have a favorite ship. Any itinerary is good if it includes Sint Maarten!! Love seeing the Yoda Guy!!

We sailed out of San Juan on the Carnival Valor and went to almost all of the "Saints" islands. Great beaches and scenery, great local food and beers and friendly, charming people.

The French side of St. Marten had the most beautiful water we've ever seen.

Favorite itinerary: Hands down, "St. Somewhere"...the southern itinerary out of San Juan (St. Thomas; sea day; Barbados; St. Lucia; St. Kitts; St. Maarten). Most scenic and something for everyone. We've done it twice fairly recently (Valor/May 2013 and Liberty/September 2015) and I'd love to do it again because there is so much more to see and do. BTW...snorkeling at Jalousie Beach (beach between the Pitons, sometimes referred to as "Sugar Beach") in St. Lucia was the best we've seen. So many fish and the coral was so colorful.

Favorite ship: We've loved every ship that we've been on, but are now a little partial to Carnival Liberty. She's the only ship we've repeated and we just love her decor, although she does have the same layout as Glory and Valor, which we've also been on.

I thought the naturalist went on the nude cruises.

I like Spirit class ships, easy to navigate. Western is my favorite itinerary.

What a beautiful make over! Didn't it have the purple octopus thing on the Lido ceiling?

As of right now, the Breeze is our favorite ship, hands down!!!!:D

Thrilled that she is coming back to Port Canaveral.:D

Both itineraries we did on her were great! So I would have to say it's a tie!!!

Loved the Southern route, ie; Aruba, Curacao, etc.

BUT, also loved the Eastern with Antigua and Tortola! That was AMAZING!!!!

Cruising on the Magic in June, so we'll see if Breeze is still the favorite after that one.:D

I am so glad to read this! I was always a little hesitant to do Alaska, and now we're booked and I'm not quite as excited about it as I get with Caribbean destinations. I do love my tropical cruises. But your description makes me so excited!! I need to start really researching so I know exactly what I'm in store for. Did you write a review of your cruise?

Let's see....favorite ship, favorite itinerary. I love questions like this! I enjoy seeing what other people think, and I like remembering my cruises and coming up with my answer!

Fave ship: This is SO hard. I think our best cruise ever was on the Triumph. Not only did we meet awesome people that we ended up sharing our vacation with, but there were so many great activities that we enjoyed, like tons of trivia and karaoke. And the ship was huge without the "huge" feel.

Fave itinerary: Gotta be Roatan, Belize, and Cozumel, but only because Little French Key in Roatan is off the charts amazing. Belize is kind of blah. I'm excited to experience HMC and Grand Turk this summer! Finally trying out some new ports!

The sand is perfect and deep, with no rocks underfoot. I waded through the water chest-deep and just trudged along, digging my feet in six inches deep with each step. It was bliss. Not a rock, shell or other object to be found, just semi-silky sand.

I don't write reviews but be sure to take binoculars on Alaska trip. There is a Thai restaurant in Skagway that serves just-caught salmon. Very cute flat, walkable town, with lots of great shops that are not contrived like the Carnival port shops. The photo of my daughter and me is in "downtown" Skagway.
