Loving your pictures! How has the service been - bar service, dining room? I hear people in cruise groups complaining about it. Full ship this week? Enjoy!

Service has been hit or miss. We have found a great guy who works at the pool during the day and the casino at night and we love him. But a couple of the guys behind the bar at the pool are just sort of grumpy all the time. Service everywhere we have eaten has been good. Our waiter at Wasabi last night was great.

We were on the Escape last year at this time and this ship feels much more "policed" than the Escape. Security very visible, no drinks in the pools or hot tubs, no kids allowed in the adult (main) pool ever, stuff like that. It's not really anything worth mentioning but it is a different feel.

Yes, the ship is at full capacity. When we checked in there was a sign up saying no cabin changes because everything was full.

Maybe because it is Spring Break they are showing extra security to cut down on "Spring Breakers going crazy."

Well Harvest Caye was a bit of a bust. We got off the ship at 10:15 and could not find one single open chair anywhere around the pool. And we looked. The pool was pretty much standing room only. There were beach chairs that were open but the beach had tons of seaweed and the purple flag so nobody wanted to get in the water. We finally went upstairs at The Landshark to sit and get a drink. Then all of the sudden...

To quote Eddie Murphy in Beverly Hills Cop, somebody made a mistake in the pool. At least that's our guess because they cleared that place out and it was still closed when we finally called it quits and came back to the ship. They were also closing sections of the beach when we left.

. . . But a couple of the guys behind the bar at the pool are just sort of grumpy all the time. . . . I noticed that on the March 5 sailing too. Almost like they did not want to be there.

. . .When we checked in there was a sign up saying no cabin changes because everything was full. Every mass market cruise that I have been on has had that sign posted. They just don't want to deal with it on the ship.

So if you are interested in doing the Escape Room, book it as soon as you get on the ship. You can only book it at the box office, it's offered 3 times during the cruise, it's free and only 16 people can do it at a time.

Can you book it from the interactive screens throughout the ship too, or only at the box office?

I was just going to ask you about this. It sounds fun. Do you know if teens can do it. DS is 14.

Love reading your experiences this week. We will be boarding on Sunday. I have a question on currency at the ports. Did you find that U.S. currency was acceptable with cab drivers and retailers?

Yep, no issue with that at all. US currency has been accepted everywhere.
