On Equinox now... What do you want to know?

The Gastrobar has been open each sea day at 12, including debarkation day! This is my happy place. It's got sports on TVs and obviously a great beer selection. I haven't tried the food yet. Here is their current beer menu, most of which is available. A note: some of the bars and the specialty restaurants have even different beer selections than the Gastrobar. I have taken most beers to go, whether into the casino or the pool or the show.https://uploads.tapatalk

Wow, this is a beautiful list!! I'll be planted here all 10 days, lol! Thank you!

Thank you for posting all this great information! After many RCCL cruises we have decided to try Celebrity in December. Hoping what I read on another thread about Richard Spacey being on Equinox soon is correct. He was CD on 2 of our RCCL cruises and he's great.

Is it any cheaper to upgrade the drink package on the ship? Also, shore excursions do most sell out? Should we book before or wait and see what is happening once on the boat?

The upgrade charge is the same on the ship or before, $10 + 18% ($11.80 total)

He told me he thinks he's joining the equinox on the 3rd April [emoji106]🏻

I'm a first-time Celebrity cruiser on the Equinox now. I'm planning a full review at the end with as many dailies, menus, etc. as I can get. In the meantime, can I help answer any questions with photos or information?

Hi dabeers1

If you notice can you let me know what nights (if any) they are having the "top chef menu" nights in the MDR, personally I've always found these to be sub par compared to the normal menus...

Thanks [emoji106]🏻

Hope you have a great cruise! I would love to know how late the live music plays in the different bars. Have you seen it going after midnight?

I'm back from St Thomas and will try to give a few miscellaneous answers:

The cruise did debark on time

Most music in the bars appears to end by 12. Usually the later events start at 10-10:30, after the second theater show.

I wasn't able to get an exact answer about the spa but they did tell me that this cruise had a package for two (10 days) for $179 and they usually sell out the first day.

The CD is in fact John Grantham.

I have yet to see a menu for top chef at sea but I think I missed the day 3 menu.

A few more menus should be posted now.

Thanks for the tips on the Gastrobar. I asked about happy hour and was told they never have it but hopefully that will change. I'll be sure to sign the register right now!

OMG!!!! I hope this is true! I LOVE Richard Spacey! I too have sailed with him multiple times on Royal Caribbean. I would be thrilled if he was the CD on Equinox when we sail in August! I usually don't think twice about who is the Cruise Director...but Richard Spacey is a "show" worth seeing! Ha ha! I'm sure he has toned down his silliness for Celebrity though! Oh please let him be there in August!

We have the classic drink package. Can you use it in all the bars, including Martini and Slush?

Not for the main martinis on the menu, but you can get other drinks there that will be included, as for the slush bar I don't think so... [emoji848] (maybe the alcohol free versions?)

The weather is now fantastic (79 and sunny) and the Caribbean Sea is calm. The first two days on the Atlantic were very windy and rough yet mostly sunny. The ship was really rocking and the pool deck was super windy on the first full day. The theater and our room were creaking both nights.

I would love to know if you see many teens? Is it a fun ship for them? We have done many RCCL Carnival, NCL and Disney, and while we really want to try Celebrity- the ships look beautiful- I want to make sure it would not be boring for them. We are considering a cruise on her this summer. Any opinion you have would be great!

I think this week and next week would see the most teens. Still, there are probably only a dozen or two teens on the ship. There's a group of college-age students from Idaho and they seem to be having a good time. If I had to give you advice I'd say they could have a good time on their own but I wouldn't count on meeting many people their age.
