Hi, we're on the Dec 2nd sailing. There is an Equinox itinerary departing Miami on Dec 23rd. For a xmas cruise the prices actually still look pretty reasonable.

I am curious if there are many children on board. My wife and I have been on Celebrity twice, but we have never taken our teenagers and preschooler on Celebrity. Looking at a sumer 2018 trip on the Equinox. The kids have sailed on NCL, RCCL and Carnival....just want to make sure there will be some kids (obviously not as many).

Sailing with our 2 kids age 11 and 7 April 14th....I'll let u know kid count!

A couple answers from tonight:

Sushi on 5 uses real Alaskan snow crab, not imitation.

The martini bar top is full but there are a number of tables and chairs available at 7:30pm. There is live music every evening in the foyer which can be heard from the Martini bar. There was also music in the ensemble bar at 6 tonight.

Craps: At 7:30 tonight the minimum was $5 (nobody playing) and the odds said "Max odds 3x, 4x, 5x"

Thank you so much for everything you have already shown us...we are cruising May 15 and can't wait.......can you tell me if the roulette tables also have $5 min at some time please......we are on a different sailing so I can't ask about the ports......I just hope you continue to have an amazing cruise......and let us know the highlights you found....Gastrobar menu made me happy......I love Strongbow cider, but they now make some of it in the US.....nothing personal but not as dry as the real English cider....so if you are walking by, could you see if the bottle says "Strongbow Gold" or is it the true English dry cider.....just a side note....if it is the English stuff....please tell them to hid all of it right now and keep adding to the stash so there is enough for me......for the 11 day cruise.....:D

My wife had a Strongbow last night and I'm pretty sure it didn't say gold. The menu says dry English cider but I respect your curiosity... I'm the same way with beer.

Tonight at 10pm there was one roulette table with a $10 minimum and one with a $5.

Here is a snapshot of the bars on deck. Enjoy!7d243dcfafd9b2f182982c51599e4627.jpg

Our TV has 2 open HDMI ports plus a composite and a component. The PC port is what's used for ship TV. The button to change the source is on the side of the TV rather than the remote. Hopefully it's not locked down. I can't tell as it won't switch to a source I have nothing plugged into.

Hi - thanks for this thread!...got another casino question:

Is there a Texas Hold-em table and if so is it electronic or do they use live dealers? Also is it getting much action at night?

OK that was more than one question...:)

Thanks for asking. We're having a great time on our first Celebrity cruise. The ship is great, the crew and passengers have been nice, and the food has been delicious (we've been to MDR and 3 specialties plus Ocean view and Cafe El Bacio every day). I'm enjoying my scavenger hunt so feel free to keep the questions coming!

There are just a few kids on board, I really think no more than 30 under 18 plus a few college kids. We're 46 and 48 and probably in about the 33rd percentile in age.

There are some Texas hold em tables that are electronic but I have not seen them in use. I think I saw something in the daily about a tournament earlier and it says there will be a cash game tonight so hopefully I'll see some action.

Slush has been open every day and I've tried about half of them already! I think I have a picture of the menu in my photos. I'll repost the link once I upload more.

I'm sure I've missed a couple questions along the way so don't feel bad asking me again if anything is unanswered.

Thanks for the information sharing. Will be boarding just shy of 5 weeks from now. Have you visited the Ensemble Lounge? If so, are Andrea, Pedro and Luka still onboard?

Thanks again and glad you are enjoying the sailing. All is well in Indy;-)

Keep in mind this is sorta 'new' territory for Celebrity. They have not had a ship sail the Carribean during the summer season since 2000/2001. There is no track record to go by for how many family's will book.

We took our teens on Celebrity in the summer of 1994 & 1996, and they had plenty of others to interact with. Dec 2000 we let our DD chose which of the 5 lines she had sailed for a holiday cruise for her Sr trip, she picked Celebrity.

A couple of "CHAIR HOG" posts popped up again this week on the boards - one specifically citing the Equinox.

As we'll be on the ship for the first time in May, I was wondering what YOUR take was on getting loungers on the open decks.....and how is the covered adults only area?

THANKS SO MUCH FOR YOUR UPDATES!

LOVING THEM!

HAVE A GREAT CRUISE!!!

Not for the main martinis on the menu, but you can get other drinks there that will be included, as for the slush bar I don't think so... [emoji848] (maybe the alcohol free versions?)

You can always get the alcohol free slushie and get a shot of rum or whatever you want with your classic beverage package and put it into your slushie! At least this is what I've heard lol!
