CA_Cruzing Posted April 19, 2017 #1 Share Posted April 19, 2017 http://www.foxnews.com/travel/2017/04/19/crazy-for-carnival-cruises-couple-sets-record-with-200th-voyage.html "When Bernard and Janice Caffary stepped aboard the Carnival Liberty last week for a getaway, the couple from Lakeland, Fla. also stepped into the cruise line’s record books. The frequent cruisers are the first guests to ever sail on 200 cruises with Carnival Cruise Line. Clearly, any time is a good time for vacation for this seafaring pair. In just 15 years, they’ve achieved this unique milestone." Pretty impressive, considering they did it all in 15 years.
pascalburns Posted April 19, 2017 #2 Share Posted April 19, 2017 I guess they are just having a grand old time.it is almost like they are living on the ship.good luck happy cruising.
Keys2Heaven Posted April 19, 2017 #3 Share Posted April 19, 2017 They must have a special fund setup in their retirement fund. Heck, if we lived within reasonable distance to a cruise port, we'd cruise more as well. Being landlocked, it's once/year for us.

ryano Posted April 19, 2017 #5 Share Posted April 19, 2017 All it takes is time and money. Apparently they have lots of both :) Congrats to them on this milestone

evandbob Posted April 19, 2017 #7 Share Posted April 19, 2017 Sailing on 200 cruises in 15 years is amazing, even if they were all 3 or 4 day sailings. I started cruising in 2003, and have totalled 31 Carnival cruises for 229 sea days, not even close to this couple.
Rare jimbo5544 Posted April 19, 2017 #8 Share Posted April 19, 2017 I would love to do some B2B2B.... on the Inspiration/Imagination cruises. I could see getting off the ship and driving to Walmart for supplies or new socks or something, then right back on the ship for the next leg. Wouldn't bother me one bit. Hmmmmm, does that mean because it is the 8th level of milestone they get a 200% discount on cruise fare?
2Shoes2Go Posted April 19, 2017 #9 Share Posted April 19, 2017 They (each) will likely receive another 8 night in OS free, for two, except for taxes and port fees.:D
sfaaa Posted April 19, 2017 #10 Share Posted April 19, 2017 These two have some serious addiction issue but in a fun way.
caddykid12 Posted April 19, 2017 #11 Share Posted April 19, 2017 Notice they were on the LIBERTY! it's a 4 day cruise! Not knocking then. But I go to the casino every weekend for 3 days. They just decided to do 4 day trips on carnival. My aunt's been on on 68 with Norwegian and 85% of them were 7+ days. I'm pretty positive thats all they do. 3 to 4 day cruises... 878 days DIVIDED 200 cruises.. 4.39 days on average. Pretty easy to do if u live near a cruise port. If do the same thing if I lived in Flaverafe. Beats going to a casino But never the less a cool milestone

MissyMac13 Posted April 19, 2017 #13 Share Posted April 19, 2017 We met them when we sailed on Carnival Sensation. They are the nicest folks.
PaulMedik Posted April 19, 2017 #14 Share Posted April 19, 2017 They have spent $175,000 on 200 cruises...... I am close to having spent that much, but I'm no where near 200 cruises. Granted there are five of us and we sail 7-8 day cruises, but still. :o
