Ok, off to work I go. I will continue when I get home with the rest of the decks. I hope everyone is still enjoying the pictures and tour.

Enjoying very much. Thanks a lot! We board the Conquest 2 wks from tomorrow on a WC itinerary. A great preview for us.

We were on the Pride again this year for a 14 day Journeys repositioning cruise from Tampa to Baltimore. I just finished the review, and it is in my signature. Love what I see on the Conquest so far!

Hey Jamman!

I'm a reader and a fan of yours...re: the children's life jackets on board that Mitsugirly just showed us, do you recall seeing them on the Pride? I know there probably weren't many kids on your sailing, but we are taking our 3 and 1-year-old sons on her next month and would love to use theirs rather than pack them! Thanks.

Oh how nice! I will definitely have to read your review after I'm done with mine.

Quick question, I have looked and am having trouble finding info on Southwest's website about the Carnival gift cards. Any help would be awesome.

ALso, you had me in stitches with,"But that belly gets in the way every time now. Oops" I was laughing so loud as I feel his pain.

LOL, I always ask him "when are you due" because I promise you, his belly makes him look like he's 9 months. My oldest son is having a baby any day now and the hubby is bigger than her. :') Funny thing is, he looks like he has a beer belly and he don't really drink beer. He says he worked hard and for many years on obtaining his "figure".

The gift cards are really hard to find on their site. I know it usually takes me awhile.

What I usually have to do is do a google search for "Southwest Carnival Gift Cards" and then scroll down to it.

HERE'S THE LINK

Yes, I thought the life jackets were a great option!

Oh lucky you on the Allure. I've said it multiple times and I'll say it again...I'll make it on that ship one of these days!

I feel like Sakari hasn't grown too much over the last several years and look back on her "clothes" in my reviews and noticed they remained the same for many cruises. I actually had to go out and buy new shorts now because she has gotten bigger. Growing like a weed I tell ya!

Have a great cruise and glad you are enjoying it.

This is good to hear!

They have Royal Caribbean on there too!

DECK 10: PANORAMA DECK

BBQ: This is a great area that's located (by stairs) up from the buffet area. They have limited hours of operation but offer BBQ items and is very yummy. There's plenty of seating up there.

Back to the closing roof for the Sky Pool in the back of the ship. This does close at any time (and not only when in port). They closed it every night and also if the weather was not sunny.

Sakari was in the hot tub one day and they started to close it. She had her camera and managed to get pictures of it closing. It squeaks and squeals, so when it's closing, you will know it.

Yes, they do have them. They are located at the mid ship Venus Pool between the Blue Iguana Cantina, and the Blue Iguana Tequila Bar.

One thing I did want to mention about this pool/area is that this was the big hang out of the teens at night as well. I'm not sure if they were also in the main pool, but at night when we'd come back here for pizza, they would all be in the pool and VERY loud since the top was shut...everything echoed. I can say that I cruise every single Spring Break and have listened to all of the "complaints" about all the children running around crazy and I have never experienced it until now. Although, I have to say that I only seen them at night. During the day, everything was "normal" like any other cruise. Anyhow...just wanted to give that assessment.

Deck 10 Smoking section.

For those that smoke or those that want to avoid smoke...This is the section. I have to say that I have never seen such a large area dedicated to smokers. It was the entire deck down from the door you walk out in the back until right before the steps to go down to the main pool basically. There's a lot of lounge chairs, chairs, wicker chairs by the railing with umbrellas and a huge section of the comfy wicker chairs and padding and tables as well. I'm not sure if it's like this on every Conquest class ship or not. I believe you could also smoke on deck 3 and then of course the casino...which I noticed was at every slot machine and half the bar. The only area that was non-smoking in the casino was the table and chairs along the side walkway and the other half of the bar. One draw-back was that to get up to that area, you were walking up the steps. The elevators on that side did not go up that far and stopped at deck 9.

DECK 11

The Sports Deck.

Jogging Track, Shuffleboard, Basketball and Soccer.

P4150211%20copy-L.jpg

Weirdest Basketball court ever. Only a half court and very very small with a "dome" in the middle. So, no real "basketball games" will be played here.

DECK 12

Camp Carnival:

They have one section for the "youngins", ages 2-5. The opposite section is for ages 6-8 year olds and "sometimes" the 9-11 year olds was on that side too. Other times, they were elsewhere.

The previous (and current) month before the cruise I finished up one of my nursing classes (for those that don't know, I'm a nurse and currently going back to school for my bachelors...S.L.O.W.L.Y and I'm in no hurry...I actually schedule my classes AROUND my cruising...;p).

With us liking to sleep in, I try my best to find an "appropriate" flight that suits our schedules. This usually means anything after 12 noon. Anything before that is just absurd to us and I just want to cry when I get stuck with earlier flights. I was lucky enough to find a non-stop flight from Ohio at 3:20pm and arriving in FLL 5:50ish I think it was. Perfect!

We have a lot in common! I am a nurse in school for a higher degree AND I live in Ohio! I will be getting my MSN officially while we are on the Conquest! 3 years of schooling DONE between BSN and MSN. Takes a long time but feels like it goes fast when it's over! Good luck on your BSN!

They give the kids little "gifts" at the kids club.

Sakari got a shark landyard and Carnival necklace with a shark on it and also a Stingray one (can't find it for pictures at the moment).

P4240045%20copy-L.jpg

She was also given a Stingray back pack thingy and a notebook.

P4260006%20copy-L.jpg

She received other little gifts during the week as well. They really like to spoil the kids.

Mini-golf is up on the 12th deck as well and there's a really odd way to get up there. It took me awhile of circling the area to figure it out. You have to enter into the basketball court and cut over the court and to the stairs. Super odd way of doing it and could potentially interrupt a "game" (using that word loosely because I can't imagine being able to play any type of game in this half court that's so small).

Happy to see another of your wonderful reviews!:)

7 of my 8 Carnival cruises have been on Conquest class ships , as well as Victory and Triumph which very similar, almost the same. I am pretty used to them by now, but yes, I know the layout takes some time to get used to. Thanks for your review, and looking forward to reading the rest.:)

Some "Extras"

Outside of the kids club, there is a fenced off area that children can play. I think this is the first time I have ever found something like this on a ship. There was A LOT there.

P4150204%20copy-L.jpg

Chess games

P4150203%20copy-L.jpg

The water slide (I did not try it, but Sakari did and said it was super slow and she had no desire to go back on it again after 3 tries).

Also outside of the kids club was this little area. I'm not sure it was ever being used. There looked to be a window there to maybe "order" something in the past? Anyone know what this could have been?

P4170594%20copy-L.jpg

Late one night we were picking up Sakari from the kids club and noticed a "glow" outside the doors in this area. I went over to investigate and seen they had put up the glowing tables. There wasn't anyone out there and I have no idea what it was for.

This review has not left the pier yet and I am so hoping that Kendra is a part of this cruise and review. She adds the drama, excitement, and review twists that never get old. In a past review, I seem to remember her trying to purchase a monkey in a cruise port. That's pure fun in any cruise review.

Looking forward to the rest of this review Kim!
