There's no "selection". Certain parts of the ship have it and the rest don't. We are sailing on Dec 10th also, and are mid-forward on Marina. Our friends are mid-forward on Riviera. We both have it.

Does it show if you're Platinum or Elite?

 

Princess has told us that, for now, the lanyards will be color-coded for CC level. Eventually, the medallions will be in the colors of the levels.

I was told it's tied to a muster station. Which would make sense since you are probably both in the same muster station. I'm sure that everyone who is in that muster station will have the medallion.

I'm so excited to see how this rolls out, and hopeful that the technology works well and is fully available by the new year ship wide on regal. Fingers crossed.

You probably do, but don't know it. We are mid-forward on Marina and got our phone call 2 days ago to confirm our mailing address and what size bracelet we want. Our friends are mid-forward on Riviera (in sideways cabins) and they will have it, too.
