Rare Copper10-8 Posted May 26, 2017 #64 Share Posted May 26, 2017 I realize that Amsterdam is very early but why is she just sitting there? Couldn't she go slowly? That's because we overnighted in Stephens Passage 😊

Rare Copper10-8 Posted May 26, 2017 #66 Share Posted May 26, 2017 I don't understand why they are having issues with the bollards. Two larger ships have docked at the AS and CT docks and not had a problem. The linemen felt that the bollard we wanted for our stern line belonged to Volendam. it took the port agent to walk to the stern to convince them otherwise. Longshoremen are a different breed........

Rare rafinmd Posted May 26, 2017 #69 Share Posted May 26, 2017 Hey Roy; how are you doing since Huatulco? Very well but I'd love to still be at sea. I could swear I've seen 2 ships run lines to the same bollard before. Never thought they belonged exclusively to a single ship. Roy

Roy The prob re: putting lines from 2 ships one one bollard comes in at departure time and depends on who leaves first. prob #2 has to do with linehandlers thinking they decide where the lines go The ship has a docking plan it wants to follow
