Spending more for GS on new ship worth it?

Recommended Posts

Traveling next summer on the new Symphony of the Seas in Europe for 7 night cruise. Inclined to go with a GS but its $2000 more for the two of us than a JS. Is it really worth the added cost?

Here are the suite perks:

Only you can decide if it's "worth it" to you.

The only 'perk" of monetary value is the "free" drinks during cocktail hour....so if you think you'll spend less than $2000 on drinks, stick with the JS...lovely space and you save a bundle!

Free internet has monetary value.

Keep in mind that in a JS you can go to Coastal Kitchen for Dinner. Just make reservations on board. As for the other perks, you can buy a Drink Package for a lot less than $2000.

I've done a GS twice. Once was a 14 night Trans Atlantic. We had 9 days at sea so the extra room was fantastic. But it was only $800 total more than a JS for 2 on a 14 night. Pretty sweet deal.

Great comments, the only time we did a GS was when we had mother in law with us for the extra space.
