mjhouse2 Posted June 9, 2017 #1 Share Posted June 9, 2017 Just price matched to this for our 2019 cruise and got $100 OBC. Anyone else booked in a balcony might want to do a fare check to see if this would work for you.:D

salumbaugh1 Posted June 9, 2017 #4 Share Posted June 9, 2017 For a 2 person cabin was it still $50 per person? I booked tonight and the lady told me it was only $25 per person up to $100 Sent from my iPhone using Forums
salumbaugh1 Posted June 9, 2017 #5 Share Posted June 9, 2017 I read the fine print and figured it out.... its either $50 or $100 depending on the length of your cruise. Sent from my iPhone using Forums
WPTNGirl Posted June 9, 2017 #6 Share Posted June 9, 2017 Thanks for the tip. I was able to price match on my Panama Canal cruise, save $40 and get the $100 OBC.

jabcruiser Posted June 9, 2017 #8 Share Posted June 9, 2017 Thanks for heads up on this. Was able to get the $100 OBC on our Premium Balcony room. I love Cruise Critic for the great information I have been able to find here. Just made our original reservation over the weekend so wouldn't have done a new price check without seeing this post. Thanks again. Jane

Rare Jamman54 Posted June 9, 2017 #10 Share Posted June 9, 2017 Took advantage of this in a big way today. It's also a half deposit rate. To clarify, it is $50 OBC per cabin on cruises of 2 to 5 days, and $100 OBC per cabin on cruises of 6 days or more. I price matched and got $100 OBC for each of my Conquest cruises, and my Splendor Hawaii cruise. I then booked a B2B on the Pride for October 2018 and got the $100 OBC on each leg. I'm one happy guy!!! :D:D:D
CaliCash Posted June 9, 2017 #11 Share Posted June 9, 2017 WOOHOO! Just got my $100 of OBC for my cruise in April 2019. Told the other 5 balconies in my group about it too. Thanks for the heads up!!
firedisney97 Posted June 9, 2017 #12 Share Posted June 9, 2017 Thanks - just saved $10.00 on the fare (woo hoo) BUT got the $100.00 OBC so a net savings of $110.00 for us :)
Tiger0613 Posted June 9, 2017 #13 Share Posted June 9, 2017 It won't do me any good. This rate is $140(total) more than what I booked in February. It would have been nice to have an additional $100 OBC to go with the booking onboard $100 OBC(old program).

It would have been nice to have an additional $100 OBC to go with the booking onboard $100 OBC(old program). I could see that happening. The cruises that I price matched to were almost a year or more out and the price had not gone up yet. I could not price match to my upcoming Magic cruises because the rates had gone up quite a bit since I originally booked. So if your rate has gone up $100 or more since you booked it wouldn't make sense to price match. Also make sure you don't have any OBC attached to your original booking as you will lose it. Assuming Carnival grandfathers onboard reservations made under the old system, I won't lose the only $100 OBC that I have. It stays with the booking no matter what rate I match. bury me at sea Posted June 9, 2017 #16 Share Posted June 9, 2017 It doesn't work for me on our summer 2018 cruise. The price to get the $100. OBC went up exactly $100.

rjl1977 Posted June 9, 2017 #18 Share Posted June 9, 2017 I was able to price match my Jan. 2018 Breeze cruise today. I've saved $10 and added $100 in obc to my booking I made while on the Glory last year. Now I have $200 in obc!

Roscoe13 Posted June 10, 2017 #20 Share Posted June 10, 2017 Was able to net $30. Cruise actually went up $20 by switching to this, but received an additional $50 OBC...all for the time and effort of a 2 minute and 38 second phone call:D
MissKIA Posted June 10, 2017 #21 Share Posted June 10, 2017 Our cruise went up $20, but we got the $100 OBC which we didn't have before, so we basically saved $80. I'm happy with that! FWIW I was told it was $50 per person, for the first 2 guests. We have a 3 person balcony, so received $100.
momof4girls Posted June 10, 2017 #22 Share Posted June 10, 2017 Was really hoping it'd work for me, but my cruise has gone up in price too much:( On a positive note, it means I hopefully booked during the lowest prices for this cruise.

shannonRRT Posted June 24, 2017 #24 Share Posted June 24, 2017 Can someone explain this to me better? I booked an Early Saver for Feb 2018. The original price of the 4S cabin dropped $74. We have a $50 obc. So i would lose the obc? And when I call carnival, what do I say to them?
