My time dining and gratuities

Recommended Posts

All tips are pooled. If someone gets a cash tip it is not automatic they can keep it. If the passenger giving the tip has opted out, the tip goes into the pool.

If the passenger has not opted out, the employee may keep the tip for him or her self.

There is a daily list that is distributed that notes the auto gratuity status.

It is my understanding that if you have MY TIME DINING on RCCL, you cannot have the tips removed at guest services. You can only have the tips removed if you are confirmed for Traditional Dining. We actually always try to book promotions with Princess where one of the perks provided includes pre-paid tips or free premium beverage package as we have done for a recent Asian cruise and an upcoming Sky Princess cruise.
