Drink Cards

Recommended Posts

Hi,

My family will be sailing on the Oasis of the Seas in August. I didn't purchase any drink plans as my wife and I aren't big drinkers (a couple margaritas for each of us will probably be it each day). However, I've read a number of threads talking about drink cards that let you pre-purchase x drinks for a set amount. That would be huge for us (and sounds similar to the coffee cards we purchased already).

Are they only available on-board, as I don't see them listed for purchase ahead of time? If so, where and when can you get them?

Yes, only on-board and they don't start selling them until mid-week. I believe I saw them pop up on Wednesday (day 4) of my 7-night Oasis cruise earlier this month.

Thanks clarea and mike! I guess they are trying to sell the packages, but still seems odd they wouldn't offer them earlier - Pre-paid is still selling. Still, day 4 is better than nothing.

I think there's not as much profit in the drink cards, so they put them off until the end. They may not even offer them on some sailings.

On the Allure it was offered on day #4 and is was so not worth it to us. It was more expensive than the alcohol we were going to drink from then on.

How does this drink card work? 79$ for 10 Drinks?

We are on the Allure next month. Thanks

It was $79 plus 18% gratuity for ten drinks on Allure in May. The card can be shared. It wasn't available until day 5 on our sailing, you have to ask at one of the bars. It is definitely worth it if you drink Martinis or any of the signature cocktails that are $13.

Just do the math, if you are a beer drinker, it isn't worth it. See what you are drinking and how much they cost per drink.
