rkacruiser Posted July 29, 2017 #79 Share Posted July 29, 2017 Re: Alaska's weather The July 3rd sailing of the Amsterdam brought good weather to the State. Rain in the afternoon at Icy Point Strait and overcast, but no rain, at Kodiak with Sun and partly cloudy conditions everywhere else with temperatures in the mid-upper 50's and lower 60's. Our visits to Sawyer Glacier and Hubbard Glacier saw good weather as well with plenty of Sun. Seas were slight with only a bit of bumpy seas North of Vancouver Island on the day after leaving Seattle. The Gulf of Alaska was like glass for part of one day, but even it was behaving itself. Ours was a great cruise and the weather really cooperated!

Rare Scrapnana Posted July 29, 2017 Author #82 Share Posted July 29, 2017 She's dropping lines a little early. The evening turned out fairly nice. It was good to see a view that we don't normally get.
Rare Scrapnana Posted July 29, 2017 Author #83 Share Posted July 29, 2017 She left the dock about 15 minutes early and has now sailed out of range of the webcam. Have a great weekend and see you Monday!
