SadieC Posted August 24, 2017 #1 Share Posted August 24, 2017 Just received an email that we have a shoreside concierge available to help with shore excursions, dining reservations or beverage packages. Is this new? We are in a Celebrity Suite for the first time on our Panama cruise, and wondering if this might be a suite perk? Just wondering if anyone has used this service and if so, how best should we proceed? Would love some ideas for excursions-especially for Cartegena, Colon and Puerto Gautemala from Celebrity's point of view.

We normally get a call about 2 days before the cruise....
Rare chemmo Posted August 24, 2017 #3 Share Posted August 24, 2017 Our calls have generally been about two weeks pre cruise. They will forward room requests (example pillow type) to your butler and pre book speciality dining... They can prebook excursions for you but may not have expertise to advise you re the excursions offered. Ask if they have actually experienced the excursions....If you choose to go ahead and book but have unanswered questions on boarding ask the Michael's Club host to check for you...you can cancel/change, I am fairly sure it is 24hrs notice. Have a great cruise!
MikeMary4449 Posted August 25, 2017 #4 Share Posted August 25, 2017 Hi Cam and Nancy, We are on this Panama Canal cruise with you and also in a Celebrity Suite. We agree with what TommyD3 and chemo have posted. Our experience has been that we were contacted 2-3 weeks prior to sailing. The shoreside concierge will not provide information about non-ship excursions, but are helpful with onboard special requests and reservations. Looking forward to meeting you in Michael's Club! jules815 Posted October 30, 2017 #8 Share Posted October 30, 2017 Is the Shoreside Concierge the person I should request distilled water and an extension cord (if needed, not sure of outlet situation in our room) for my husband's CPAP? When we've cruised with RC in the past, there was a special needs department and I contacted them via email.
CHEZMARYLOU Posted October 30, 2017 #9 Share Posted October 30, 2017 You can do it either way, shore side concierge or special needs.
Alakegirl Posted October 30, 2017 #10 Share Posted October 30, 2017 Most order from Special needs but if you are in one of the upper suites the shoreside Concierge can take care of it.
