Cheer Package ?

My comment is order top shelf. Grey goose VX is $17 per drink, they will mix with rockstar for $4.95, so basically a $22 per drink. Plus coffee, plus water, plus soda, TIP: not all bars have the top shelf bottles, for Paradise it was only in casino bar. The drinks are overpriced, but it allows freedom to try drinks you would not normally try. I don't buy cheers on every cruise, as some are premier casino and drinks are free in casino.

is it worth it? is it worth it to you is the only question. For us it's a no brainer. BTW, what exclusions?

I'm pretty sure that list of exclusions is old. All non-alcoholic beverages should be covered as well as bottled water. As far as beverages in souvenir cups, you can always get the same drink without the cup.

And all drinks are covered up to $50, not $10

Pretty sure coffee is all covered

If you and your husband drink at least 6 alcoholic beverages a day then you will break even. If only one of you does then it isn't worth it since you both have to pay for the package. Also, the list above is wrong as bottle water is included and all specialty coffee is also included. Also, you can order non- alcoholic drinks as well.

It sounds like you would have to be wasted every day to get your moneys worth lol not good when bringing your kids .

For me personally it isn't hard to drink 6 drinks a day when I am on a cruise. I start off with Bloody Mary's at breakfast then have a few frozen cocktails at the pool then wine with dinner then vodka and tonics at the shows/casino. Oh I forgot about the Chocolate Martini for dessert that is to die for!! Also love to have Baileys in my coffee (lol). So as you can see very easy to break even or exceed the 6 drinks to make the drink package worth it for me. Now before you say that I must be drunk the whole time please note that these drinks are over a 15 hour time span with bottle water thrown in there as well. And also most of these drinks are not very strong as the bartenders seem to have a light pour.

If I had kids with me there would be no way I would drink like this but I am single and ready to have fun!

That's a little harsh. 6 drinks on a sea day can be spread out over a course of 16 hours - can't get drunk at all at that rate. Think mimosa for breakfast, glass of wine at lunch, frozen drink in the afternoon by the pool, 2 glasses of wine at dinner and an after dinner martini. Not exactly going to be falling down after that.

Cheers is worth it for me. I drink a lot of specialty coffees, and some of those yummy milkshakes. A mimosa with breakfast, several bottles of water through out the day, and a few drinks in the evening add up. Carnival has one of the most inclusive beverage packages that I have found.

There is a 15 drink daily (6am to 6am) limit and no amount of bribery will get you another drink once you have hit the limit.

I saw a group that limited out by 10 p.m. in the Piano Bar on our last cruise. You are right--they could not get another drink at all. I guess they could have figured it out had some not limited out, but they either all had or only one of the six had not... The closest I got was 14 and my wife only got to 10, so we would have been fine. That was plenty for me (though I felt fine then and the next day; it happened over 14-16 hours...).

I am pro-Cheers; I cannot see a cruise without it at this point.

How much is this package for a 7 night cruise? Looking into a Carnival cruise and wondering if would be more expensive since NCL has the drinks included (although not as many inclusions).

Is the cheer package worth it? My husband is a drinker and I was just wondering if its worth it, I saw there were lots of exclusions listed.

We just got off the Victory yesterday. I'd say two of the four days we had enough to definitely make it worth it. The other two days, maybe not....... but here's the thing - remember it's your bottled water, soft drinks, coffee and milk shakes too.

I loved not being surprised the last day by how much we spent on drinks.

I loved being able to order a different drink 5 minutes later if I didn't like the first one (because I'm picky).

I loved grabbing bottle water before an excursion.

That's my input. :D

If purchased prior to cruise, it comes to $57.44 per day including gratuity. So that x7 is $402.08 per person for everyone 21 and older in cabin.

If purchased onboard, it is $5 more per day.
