BonnieSte Posted August 28, 2017 #2 Share Posted August 28, 2017 i have been in a few johnny rockets and never once been there at the right time to see their little performances Is there a particular time I should be going if I want to see this. TIA. I have been there between 1:00-3:00 and have always seen it. I feel bad for them because they seem like they don't really want to be doing it but they have to. :(
Wingman2010 Posted August 28, 2017 #3 Share Posted August 28, 2017 The singing and dancing number always seems to happen whenever my food is on the counter, ready to be delivered to my table....:cool:

trev71 Posted August 28, 2017 #5 Share Posted August 28, 2017 they didn't do it the last few times but they did in the earlier days. Maybe we missed it. I rather them not do it though. If I wanted to see a show I would go to a dinner theatre
Rare WrittenOnYourHeart Posted August 28, 2017 #6 Share Posted August 28, 2017 If you want to see your waitstaff perform, go to Ellen's Stardust Diner in NYC where the waitstaff actually all ARE performers who work there usually while auditioning and living the theatre performer's life in NYC. Many of their alumni have gone on to be on Broadway, so they CAN perform.
Cigar King Posted August 28, 2017 #7 Share Posted August 28, 2017 I like the JR dances. They're fun, and they're especially so when the audience sings along.
Suzieanna Posted August 28, 2017 Author #8 Share Posted August 28, 2017 We were to go to Ellen's when I was in NYC last December. But they were on strike All the ads show JR people singing and dancing.. I think I would like it
RFerrington Posted August 28, 2017 #9 Share Posted August 28, 2017 I have been there between 1:00-3:00 and have always seen it. I feel bad for them because they seem like they don't really want to be doing it but they have to. :( ^ THIS ^ The last couple of times I witnessed the "dance" those waiters looked like they would rather be doing ANYthing else. I felt bad for them....like they were trained seals or something.
Ladysilver Posted August 28, 2017 #10 Share Posted August 28, 2017 We've always loved that part of eating at Johnny Rockets! Sometimes we get up and dance with them. 😳
RhondaC Posted August 28, 2017 #11 Share Posted August 28, 2017 We've always loved that part of eating at Johnny Rockets! Sometimes we get up and dance with them. 😳 We do too! They love it when people join them! Makes it more fun for them.
Sascol Posted August 28, 2017 #12 Share Posted August 28, 2017 I rather them not do it though. If I wanted to see a show I would go to a dinner theatre Agreed! I was not even aware of this until I read this thread. If I want cheese, I'll get it on my burger! Hopefully we can avoid.
Rare little britain Posted August 28, 2017 #13 Share Posted August 28, 2017 I thought they do it every 30 minutes. Seemed as regular as clockwork. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
