TravelingTexasGal Posted October 2, 2017 #126 Share Posted October 2, 2017 Thanks so much for sharing the pics and stories. We are on the 10/14 cruise and we can hardly wait! We've been on the Caribbean for our British Isles cruise and the Crown for Alaska, but this ship looks just a tad more special. Hope the weather holds up and the leaves wait until we get there to change! :)
Rare geoherb Posted October 2, 2017 #127 Share Posted October 2, 2017 Old or new? I thought there was supposed to be salmon or steak choices. I recently saw a picture posted on a thread, but forget the date. Never been to MDR on embarkation. Prefer to be outside in the Florida weather after escaping cold weather in the north. If all on offer is a burger or pasta, I don't see the point. Early boarders won't run into lines at Horizon and Regal has a great buffet. Plus Alfredo's (okay that isn't outside exactly). Our cruise on the Caribbean Princess in August had just the salmon and steak main courses available along with one soup and one salad and one dessert. I missed the ravioli. I always get that when it's on the menu.

cruiserking Posted October 4, 2017 Author #131 Share Posted October 4, 2017 Newport, Rhode Island September 24, 2017 Morning Fog burned away to reveal a cozy, colorful town filled with yachts, shops and lots of seafood. We strolled along cobbled roads and through several wharfs Enjoyed these spectacular oysters at the Landing 3 varieties, wow, were they good A Raspberry Limeade to wash it down, superb Lotsa Yachts Jonathan

cruiserking Posted October 4, 2017 Author #133 Share Posted October 4, 2017 Food Porn Interlude In Club Class the roving Chef July prepares amazing Nutella/Banana crepes for us each morning Worth the price of admission Poached eggs and crispy bacon - my favorite Old School Jams and Jellies served table side The pancakes were fluffy and sublime 3 Words Freshly made Doughnuts Club Class on Regal was absolutely excellent. We truly were treated like royalty. Each time we arrived at the entrance to the Concerto Dining Room we were warmly greeted, promptly seated at our favorite table. All of the wait staff welcomed us with smiles, the Maitre D' Lotfi was very professional and friendly. On the return sea day we changed our watches too soon and were late for breakfast by a few minutes. Others were turned away, but, when Lotfi saw us he waved us in. It was like dining in your favorite neighborhood restaurant every meal, surrounded by top-notch, prompt and courteous and servers. We are sold on Club Class, it's worth every penny. The ads are irritating. I plan to join the no ad program this weekend. Thanks for following along. Jonathan Thanks, Jonathan. Does it cost anything to join the no ad program? One or two ads wouldn't be so bad, but I just counted six on one photo and yes, a viewer, can click them off, one-by-one, but who wants to have to do that? Are there any photo-sharing sites that don't have ads, such as Flickr? One of our friends inserts some of her photos directly in her daily emails when they're on a cruise and uploads the rest on photos.google.com.
