It was opposite of that on the cruise before yours. Was nice to be able to go into the theater to watch Wonder Woman on our extra sea day. Missed Coco Cay. :(

Day 3 - At Sea

 

Coco Cay is canceled

We’re still in The Bahamas on the other side of the storm.

It doesn’t appear we’re moving.

 

We actually got to Coco Cay, dropped anchor, was about ready to get to the tenders when they called it off. They were having a devil of a time trying to safely attach the gang plank. Then they called it off and we left for our sea day on Thursday.

 

Are they still having problems with the slow speed?

All I know for sure is they are planning to add Chops.

 

How do you know this for sure, Bob? I asked C&A again yesterday and they know nothing. I certainly hope you are correct as we are booked again in April.

Nothing is for sure with Royal. I don't recall who mentioned this last, might have been John. Not surprised that customer service reps would not know, but it is surprising that they didn't make up something.;)

One thing about the Windjammer, a lot of people walk in and think the section they see is all of it. If one walks forward on either side they can get to the forward section. The food will be the same for the most part but there is more seating and a very nice forward view. I believe the front section is closed for dinner.

Correct

In addition the forward section has ethic dishes. For this cruise it has been Indian favorites such as curry chicken, dal, palak paneer

On our last cruise on MJ we had dinner with the Captain. He told us that Chops is on the upgrade schedule but that the install plans had not been finalized for the Viking Crown location. We are hoping that the Viking Crown plan doesn't work and they put it elsewhere ;)

Also after the curtailed previous dry dock where Empress sucked a chunk of money off the MJ work to be done there were some significant projects to be included during this dry dock.

Thanks for the live review. We will be onboard next weekend and this helps get us ready. We plan to eat at JR on the first night anyway so we will look for the coupon.

 

We haven’t received anything about Nassau yet so I’m wondering if we will be late next week too.

We also appreciate your review and the wonderful pictures of the buffet. We board tomorrow as you are getting off. It was a good last minute deal and will be our first time on Majesty.

 

Looking at the weather we figured we would miss CocoCay also. Will be on a cruise so all will be good.

The Love & Marriage show was a hit. The 3 couples are married 1 year, 23 years and 37 years. After leaving the show on deck 5 we walked through the Shooner Bar. Two of the three TVs are airing the New England football game. The third tv was showing commercials.

 

After Love & Marriage the cruise director announced a party in the centrum. e0bcfea3cc1cc958a1cecb08bf770936.jpgAn announcement moved it back to the pool deck. The promenade on deck 7 is now open where it has been previously closed all morning. The weather is looking better.

 

Up to deck 11 I noticed this sign outside the windjammer. Hope it’s of interest to someone.

Loved reading about the MJ, thanks for sharing. We are doing the NYE cruise, we board 12/29, our first RCCL cruise was on the Sovereign. We are excited and have no idea what to expect but the buffet looks delicious, and the crew sounds great so I am sure it’ll be a great cruise.

Ok we stopped in the windjammer for the afternoon snack. Sorry about the previous post I incorrectly inserted the picture in between the text. After the snack I took a nap. I’m now awake and learned my mom lost $20 in the casino.

 

Speaking of the casino. Some areas are more smoky than others. All guests receive $5 complimentary slot play. The instructions are located at the cashiers desk. You insert your cabin card and follow the instructions to claim your $5. No additional amount is charged to your cabin. I’ll try to get a picture this evening.

 

Is this available on all sailings?

 

Thanks for reading everyone. I didn’t intend to write a review. Just providing a few tips about Majesty.
