Sacto Rick Posted November 7, 2017 #2 Share Posted November 7, 2017 The only thing we've been able to do is look at the menu at the MDR in the morning when they post it, then decide. Usually we know the last night is lobster night in the MDR so we don't like to miss that for specialty dining.

Cruiser411 Posted November 7, 2017 #7 Share Posted November 7, 2017 I have certainly seen a table setup outside on of the specialty restaurants on embarkation day that had all the menus for the voyage so you could pick the day you wanted to book... KurtMo Posted November 7, 2017 #10 Share Posted November 7, 2017 They are posted outside the MDR in the early afternoon. You may also get to see them all at Crown Grill on embarkation day when they are taking reservations after boarding.
skynight Posted November 7, 2017 #11 Share Posted November 7, 2017 You would have to request this information from the head waiter the first evening. Once on board you will know the formal nights. Some book specialty dining on formal nights to avoid formal dress and some book other nights so they get the lobster tail in the DR. It's your choice. BJS Posted November 8, 2017 #13 Share Posted November 8, 2017 Can you see what will be offered each night at the beginning of the cruise, so you can make plans for any alternative dining venues? When you board go to the alternative dining room and ask them what nights are formal night and they can tell you that. Sometimes they have menus. Wishing on a star Posted November 8, 2017 #14 Share Posted November 8, 2017 I was wanting to book Crab Shack for the second Formal Night... You just reminded me that this is Seafood/Lobster night in the MDR! Do many sailings offer Crab Shack on the two formal nights? I am thinking that this is what I am seeing in an old Patter for the one week Caribbean sailing.
antsp Posted November 8, 2017 #15 Share Posted November 8, 2017 The patter you receive on embarkation day lists what nights are formal.
pablo222 Posted November 8, 2017 #16 Share Posted November 8, 2017 Can you see what will be offered each night at the beginning of the cruise, so you can make plans for any alternative dining venues? On one cruise, I had embarcation lunch in the dining room. On the way out, I asked the head waiter at the door about menus. He was able to show me the menus for the entire cruise.
