Do you have pictures you can post of your inside YC cabin? What number was your cabin?

Since I am the OP, I assume this was meant for me. We were in 18023 and met another couple from 16025, who said their cabin was identical to ours, except on the 16th floor the cabins had doors right next to each other so they could hear their neighbor slam their door very easily, whereas our set up on 18 had the cabins further apart The cabin was OK at best, did have two chairs and an oval metal/glass table in between. Closet was adequate, just over 3 feet of hanging space with another smaller bar that was too low to be utilized by us, but could possibly accommodate some clothes for others that had a shorter/smaller statue ;).

The bathroom did not have the marble vanity as promised in MSC's online brochures, but as seen on YouTube, the YIN HC cabin did. Just more of the consistently inconsistent variables that MSC has in place.

The bathroom was the smallest out of all 31 cruises that I have been on and this includes the split bathroom in the solo cabin on the NCL Escape, whose shower stall was grandiose in size compared to the minuscule offering that we had in our cabin. The upgraded towels were very nice and absorbent and was the only positive thing I could say about the bathroom since you had to sit on the throne at 11:00 because if you sat on it at 12:00, your right knee would be crushed.

It was interesting as MisterBill had mentioned, but it did end up working out for us. On the first day of our cruise I set up the account and hit 300, then immediately printed out the voucher and after a few minutes went to cash it out. The guy asked for my cruise card and then asked me if I was going to utilize the casino at all since it was obvious that he swiped my card and knew what I did. He handed the voucher back to me and I held onto it till Thursday night, when a female employee took it and handed me 3 crisp new Benjamins. Since I get 1.5% back on my cc, it was worth 4.50 to me, so the slight hassle was OK.

Thanks for reporting back, S. Looks like the moral is: wait for a female cashier!

On a serious note, glad it worked out - even if it did take a few days.

Yes! It's very easy to register your cruisecard in the machines. You input a 4 digit pin number after using your birthdate to confirm that the cruisecard belongs to you (the casino staff will assist you with this, should you have any problems, but it's quite straightforward). Once done, you just need the pin number every time you want to have an amount charged to your onboard account. As soon as the machine registers that the amount has been transferred, you can just press "Cash Out". The machine will print a voucher in the amount, which you then bring to the cashier to exchange for cash.

Bea - THANKS so much for providing these instructions!! The process worked exactly as you explained for us on Seaside's Jan 27th sailing.

Dear Bea,

Will this procedure to encash 200 Euro OBC work on Costa also? And should it be less than 100 euro at a time? Thanks

You could certainly get it through the slots in the casino. Just register your cruisecard in one of the machines, request an amount to be charged to your onboard account; when the machine shows the amount has been transferred to it, press the payout button. The machine will issue a ticket in the amount which you can then take to the cashier for payment in cash.

Hi to you all. Sorry to "warm up" this old post!

Just received from MSC OBC for the next cruise as compensation for problems and troubles on a previous cruise. I was thinking to turn part of the OBC into ca$h - is it still possible to do so in 2024? Anyone with recent experience? Any help is much appreciated!!! 👍 Thank you!!!

Yes, did it two days ago on Divina.

I just did a couple of spins for luck and actually ended up with more than I started with 🙂

Did this 3 times and for not more than $200 each time, no idea if the amount matters but encountered no issues doing it this way.

Thank you, much appreciated! The procedure still the same? First I need to register in order to obtain the ticket?! With this tickets in hand, do I get the money or chips which I have to exchange?

Just to be clear, my experience was using the slots, I can't comment on table games.

Regardless of your eventual intent, to use your room account as the source of funds you simply insert your cruise card in your chosen machine and select the option to charge to your room on the little touchscreen display, if this is the first time you have done this it will walk you through the process of setting up a PIN, this completes your card registration.

Once registered you are able to transfer funds from your room account to the machine you are on.

When you have finished playing on that machine you just hit 'collect' and it will print a voucher for your remaining balance. You can either take that voucher to a different machine, or you can go to the cage and cash out.

Let's keep talking about it on a public forum and give MSC more incentive to kill it.

They won't kill it. Some crew members will even tell you to do it so you can get cash for tips because there is no ATM on board.
