Live to Dream Posted November 24, 2017 #1 Share Posted November 24, 2017 What is the best way to and from Long Beach from LAX and appx. cost....TIA Sent from my LG-E980 using Forums mobile app
SadieN Posted November 24, 2017 #2 Share Posted November 24, 2017 Best is very subjective. Carnival transfer, Taxi (about $75; $60 flat port to LAX), Uber, Lyft, Super Shuttle ($17pp shared), Execucar ($55), LA Flyaway Bus ($8pp) to Long Beach transfer to free Passport Bus. taxifarefinder.com gives good estimates. WindinmySails Posted November 24, 2017 #3 Share Posted November 24, 2017 Just did this. We did Uber, waited 9 min. $31 to the port, got there in less than a half hour. Then on the way back it was $42, I am thinking though it was Thanksgiving and waited less than 10 min to be whisked back to LAX. We were two people. Very easy, very convenient. I would say this was the best way for us.
parttimr Posted November 24, 2017 #4 Share Posted November 24, 2017 Was wondering the same. Sounds like Uber is the way to go.

CoW mAn Posted November 24, 2017 #6 Share Posted November 24, 2017 PrimeTime / SuperShuttle are both $17 per person one-way, it's been my go to and always been good...although their website(s) are dodgy sometimes.

riclop Posted November 25, 2017 #8 Share Posted November 25, 2017 Super shuttle is the most cost effective.
Rare Keith1010 Posted November 25, 2017 #9 Share Posted November 25, 2017 If you don't want to share a ride I would go with Uber. For shared rides I would go with super shuttle. Sadie's list is spot on. Keith
MMastell Posted November 25, 2017 #10 Share Posted November 25, 2017 I have to agree about Uber. We live outside Minneapolis and have never needed Uber and have always used taxis. Our friends in Long Beach raved about it so I downloaded the app and signed up. We had three days before our 11/11/17 cruise in Long Beach and used it extensively. I love it. You get a nice car and driver and the app shows you just where your driver is and how long before arrival. It also gives you the make and model of the car and a picture of the driver. From the Long Beach cruise terminal to the airport was $42. You can add a tip "after" you are dropped off. We took a taxi from the airport to the Hyatt Centeric Pike (close to Carnival pier) and that was $72. You can also do Uber from LAX. Many airports do not allow Uber for pickup but LAX does. Take care, Mike
riffatsea Posted November 25, 2017 #11 Share Posted November 25, 2017 Just wanted to add that we also have Lyft here in California. My son says that app is easier to use than Uber's but both offer similar services.
