claygirl29 Posted November 29, 2017 #1 Share Posted November 29, 2017 So I'm pretty clear on most of the details but............ if I want to do a wine or martini tasting that is say $20 would I have to pay the whole $20 or just the $5 difference? mjkacmom Posted November 29, 2017 #3 Share Posted November 29, 2017 I don’t think tastings are covered at all, same with buckets of beer. However, DH and I did our own martini tasting!
marazad16 Posted November 29, 2017 #4 Share Posted November 29, 2017 Special events-such as onboard wine tastings, mixology classes, or liquor tastings-will not be covered in this plan either. You will need to purchase those separately.

Terry wichita Posted November 29, 2017 #6 Share Posted November 29, 2017 The tastings are not part of the drink package. Order a drink, use card to package, Go to tasting, use card for fee as not individual drink. Sent from my iPhone using Forums
vince_g Posted November 29, 2017 #7 Share Posted November 29, 2017 The beverage plan does not cover tastings, but they do extend the 20% discount on wine tastings, just like they would on bottles.

fastpitchdad Posted November 29, 2017 #9 Share Posted November 29, 2017 On our cruise they never had the minimum 10 people to do the testings so they just used our UBP and gave us what we would have tasted.

If you mean use your card and have the $20 fee added to your account you are correct but that is the only way the card can be used for any of the tastings. Terry wichita Posted November 29, 2017 #11 Share Posted November 29, 2017 your ship card is used for everything on board, even items not charged to your account. If no costs involved it still records you at event, drink bought, activity fees. It only shows on your account if you pay for something. If account accidently does show a non charge amount, you may dispute at customer desk. Sent from my iPhone using Forums
sanger727 Posted November 30, 2017 #12 Share Posted November 30, 2017 We like to do the tastings too, but never did since they weren’t covered. Just seemed silly to pay $20 for four sample martinis (granted the tastings are entertaining); when u can sit down at the martini bar and order 4 martinis (separately, but yes, won’t have trouble if it’s clear you are drinking them) for free Sent from my iPhone using Forums
