Toronto Guy Posted December 2, 2017 #1 Share Posted December 2, 2017 Anyone know if the new non refundable deposit can be moved to another sailing?
Rare cruisestitch Posted December 2, 2017 #2 Share Posted December 2, 2017 Yes but for a fee. Someone has posted the T & C within the past few days.
Cruise Junky Posted December 2, 2017 #3 Share Posted December 2, 2017 $100 pp I think. But, yeah...the terms have been posted here.
Rare Cruise Raider Posted December 2, 2017 #4 Share Posted December 2, 2017 $100 pp I think. But, yeah...the terms have been posted here. You are correct ... it incurs a fee of $100 to change it to another cruise. You can always pay the refundable deposit fare, though. It's too new to hear any stories on it as of yet, but it does seem like when you transfer it to another cruise that you are sure you want to go on, you can probably book that under the non-refundable fare option. Dawg74 Posted December 2, 2017 #5 Share Posted December 2, 2017 :confused:I have been looking at some cruises and I don't see where it talks about non refundable or refundable deposits in the booking. I did a mock booking so I could see it up to the deposit payment page....
vtcruising Posted December 2, 2017 #6 Share Posted December 2, 2017 The nonrefundable deposit terms and lots of discussion are on this thread: https://boards.cruisecritic.com/showthread.php?t=2568832

Dawg74 Posted December 2, 2017 #8 Share Posted December 2, 2017 It certainly comes up for me every time on the last page. That's funny because I don't see it. Would it make a difference for Canada? Can't see that it would
CHEZMARYLOU Posted December 2, 2017 #9 Share Posted December 2, 2017 The NRD only applies to cruises that depart May 1, 2019 - April 30, 2020 according to the other thread.

PaperSniper4 Posted December 3, 2017 #11 Share Posted December 3, 2017 It certainly comes up for me every time on the last page. One will see that when booking directly at Celebrity or RCI's web page. I am not sure it will show on other TA sights. My TA was not aware how the non-refundable deposit (NRD) worked, so it pays to be educated........he thought the entire deposit was lost (no future cruise credit for 12 months less $100 pp). That would be a no-go for me, but I can live with a FCC in the unlikely event I must cancel/change. Doug
