tmaas21 Posted December 4, 2017 #1 Share Posted December 4, 2017 Hey all - Sailing on the 23rd, haven't taken the time to apply for casino credit yet, so not going to go that route. My question - what are the various ways to get casino credit once onboard. 1. Obviously cash plays 2. Room charge?? If so, what is the limit, and are you charged a fee for doing so? Regular player here... So understand how this works on land. Just need info for at sea. Thanks guys.

snoope Posted December 4, 2017 #3 Share Posted December 4, 2017 Based on your post, I suspect you have a history at land based casinos. If you have a high tier card from MLife your status can get you vip status on RCL. They will waive the 5% and give you other perks too. You are correct. Though I'm a TR guy though...instead of MLife. Just see the host or the cage once onboard and present the appropriate tier card and that gets you on your way? That's the only casino program with which Royal has partnered.
cb at sea Posted December 5, 2017 #6 Share Posted December 5, 2017 Just use cash...paying 5% right off the bat is losing.....bring the cash you're willing to lose.
snoope Posted December 5, 2017 #7 Share Posted December 5, 2017 If you are TR it won’t help. However based on your play first day, if it’s significant, they will give you the vip sticker. If your rate of plays continue they will give you a free drinks sticker too. The final perk comes at the end of the cruise - a free cruise. Damn Total Rewards....they send me to Atlantis each year...wish they covered RC too. LOL. Obviously, we don't play for comps...but...we recognize their value. What exactly does the VIP sticker do for you? I've already bought the Drink Package...so no value there. Thanks in advance....

What exactly does the VIP sticker do for you? I've already bought the Drink Package...so no value there. Thanks in advance.... The vip sticker serves 2 purposes 1. free drinks while in the casino (which does not apply since you have package) 2. If you have the sticker they waive the 5% cash advance fee The answer to your other question is. The average limit charged to your room from the casino is $3,000/day for players, they tend to raise it. My limit has always been 5k per day allowable to my room charge Hope this helps

SamTimeDining Posted December 6, 2017 #12 Share Posted December 6, 2017 That is great info. And exactly what I was looking for. Much appreciated. Be advised also that, once in Club Royale, if you require more than $5k per day (or don’t want it going to your room account), the cashier can charge DIRECTLY to a credit card of your choice and give you the cash without a fee. Sent from my iPhone using Forums Close but not 100% accurate. Once you get the VIP sticker you get both the waiver of the 5% fee AND free drinks in the casino. Playing enough will earn you points (more for the Carnival games (3 card, Let it Ride, etc) then for conventional games (black jack and craps) towards the free cruise. You can check your points with the host every day so you know where you stand. Last cruise I had maxed out to the Balcony room by end of Day 5 beginning of Day 6. Enjoy your trip and take home some of the money I left on the Allure!

tmaas21 Posted December 6, 2017 Author #16 Share Posted December 6, 2017 Appears as though there are some knowledgeable players in this forum. Let's increase the level of difficulty a bit then.... Sent from my iPhone using Forums No. Each cruise on the first night you need to go to the casino host and get a sticker. My suggestion is to do it about half an hour before the casino opens. tmaas21 Posted December 7, 2017 Author #19 Share Posted December 7, 2017 Sorry maybe I am just tired....ADT? LOL....no worries. I might have got a little too technical. ADT = Average Daily Theoretical, as in what the casino "expects" to make off of my play. Easy to calculate in slots, take the coin in times the hold %. Tables is more of a guessing game as to what each place values certain games at. Here's an example.....certain casino in Vegas requires roughly 3000 points a day for a room. A point is earned for every $1 wagered on slots. So $3000 in play gets you a room. Typical slot hold is around 8%. 3000x.08=$240 is the ADT. Was wondering if anybody had the formula that RC uses.... it typically is a well guarded secret...

My suggestion is to do it about half an hour before the casino opens. My sticker is usually already on my seapass card when it's given to me at check-in. If it's not, then you need to see the casino host.
