devinc Posted December 19, 2017 #1 Share Posted December 19, 2017 How warm has your cabin been recently??? Our past three sailings with Carnival have had somewhat of a warm cabin. The worst was a grand suite on the Freedom in May of 16. Valor in Jan and Breeze in May were a bit better but not much. Thankfully, we had a fan on the last two. winddawn Posted December 19, 2017 #2 Share Posted December 19, 2017 Following. I'd like to know this too since I haven't cruised Carnival since spring. I hate a too-warm cabin, and that has been my experience the past couple years.
WLHyatt Posted December 19, 2017 #3 Share Posted December 19, 2017 Our last couple of trips have been cooler in the cabin than in years past. Since November of last year we haven't had much complaint about the temperature in the cabins on 3 different ships.
Gamecock_Cruiser Posted December 19, 2017 #4 Share Posted December 19, 2017 We went on the Glory May of 2017, and our cabin was a lot warmer than our liking. Maintenance said that nothing was wrong with it.
NHNEV2003 Posted December 19, 2017 #5 Share Posted December 19, 2017 We were on the Conquest in November and it was cold. For the first time in 8 cruises, I didn't run the a/c.
tracks221 Posted December 20, 2017 #6 Share Posted December 20, 2017 We were on the Esctacy Dec9-dec16 out of Charleston and there was no heat on the ship. Slept with multiple, blankets, 2 robes and towels around my legs the first 2 nights. Had to wear a fleece jacket in the main dining room every night. I wish that I had a hooded winter coat on the ship.
riclop Posted December 20, 2017 #7 Share Posted December 20, 2017 Adjust the temperature.
Doggielover68 Posted December 20, 2017 #8 Share Posted December 20, 2017 Was just on the Glory and only had the temperature set somewhere in the middle. When we turned it all the way down it was freezing. We had an interior room. Maybe it is a problem in balcony rooms because people prop their doors open (which they shouldn't do) and the a/c can't keep up. Mikew0805 Posted December 20, 2017 #9 Share Posted December 20, 2017 The AC on the Paradise worked surprisingly well. The fan blew hard enough to create a nice white noise, and the room got ice cold. We actually had to turn it down... which is something unheard of for me.
georgiacruizer Posted December 20, 2017 #10 Share Posted December 20, 2017 We were on the Conquest in November and it was cold. For the first time in 8 cruises, I didn't run the a/c. You're bound to get a wide range of answers on this! My experience on the Conquest in November was the opposite. We had our thermostat in the cabin on the coldest setting and it was barely comfortable. I also found I did not need my sweater in the main theater like I usually do on Carnival ships. Also on the Conquest end of Nov in a balcony which would have been very comfortable except for the steward constantly turning the temp down. Rest of the ship reasonable but a few times a sweater would have been comfortable.
snakedoctor Posted December 20, 2017 #12 Share Posted December 20, 2017 Just got back from the Visitation and temp was decent.
SadieN Posted December 20, 2017 #13 Share Posted December 20, 2017 It varies ship to ship and cruise to cruise. We just came off the Miracle Dec 2 and we were fine. Mom and Sis were freezing on the Hawaii cruise that just ended on the Miracle. Bring a sweater/hoodie/cardigan JIC.
jdoc2010 Posted December 22, 2017 #14 Share Posted December 22, 2017 Warmer than I prefer. We started bringing a small vortex fan to cool the room down. Sent from my SM-G950U using Forums mobile app

PAPERBKWRITER Posted December 25, 2017 #17 Share Posted December 25, 2017 Too cols, too hot. Ever think of bringing one of those cheap, small thermometers with? Lots of complaints but nobody ever say what the temp is.
Anyislandwilldo Posted December 25, 2017 #18 Share Posted December 25, 2017 Too cols, too hot. Ever think of bringing one of those cheap, small thermometers with? Lots of complaints but nobody ever say what the temp is. I think I will take one along on our next Dream cruise. I'm often curious as to what the temp is. I like it cold and it doesn't get that cold for me. I will have to report back on this.
camarowesley Posted December 25, 2017 #19 Share Posted December 25, 2017 Our LAST 3 cruises our cabin was extremely hot. Maintenance would check it and it was a consistent 78°. According to Carnival, anything between 74° to 78° is within Carnivals standards. Definitely too warm for us to sleep. We no longer cruise with Carnival for this reason! ray98 Posted December 26, 2017 #22 Share Posted December 26, 2017 You really can't make these comparisons. You will find cabins that are cool and warm on the same cruise so the answer is based on one cabin, not the ship in general.
