Rare Presto2 Posted December 20, 2017 #1 Share Posted December 20, 2017 Am guessing that, like me earlier today, some of you may not be aware of the tragic accident where 12 passengers from an RCI and Celebrity ship (Equinox) sadly died during the ships' excursion. This accident has particularly affected another CC member who has lost his brother and sister in law. I only found the thread on the Celebrity forum by accident and thought that other CC members on here may wish to express their condolences to a fellow CC member at such a terribly sad time. You will find the thread starters on the Celebrity and RCI boards.
tartanexile81 Posted December 20, 2017 #2 Share Posted December 20, 2017 Read it on the BBC news app. Very sad. There but for the grace of God, goes any one of us
Rare Eglesbrech Posted December 21, 2017 #3 Share Posted December 21, 2017 Really tragic and there will be so many people affected in the wider circle of family and friends by this loss. None of us knows the day or hour. There but for the grace of God indeed.

Cristaltips Posted December 21, 2017 #5 Share Posted December 21, 2017 So sad for all those affected. My heart goes out to them. Proves that we just have to live every day the best we can.
NoFlyGuy Posted December 21, 2017 #6 Share Posted December 21, 2017 My wife told me about it while we were waiting to disembark Oriana this morning. How tragic and just goes to show how none of us knows what lies ahead. For them it was probably a new port and an exciting day ahead with no knowledge of what was to come. My heartfelt sympathy for all those touched by this tragedy.
Slugsta Posted December 29, 2017 #7 Share Posted December 29, 2017 My heart goes out to everyone who has been affected by this. So sad when those who were lost were simply enjoying their holiday, just as so many of us have done.

grapau27 Posted December 31, 2017 #9 Share Posted December 31, 2017 Very sad indeed, especially doing something we all love [emoji17] Sent from my iPad using Forums I agree. As regulars on RCI threads we heard about the tragedy just after it happened. Reports were the driver was speeding on poor roads and ran away after the accident.
