jiwdurando Posted January 10, 2018 #1 Share Posted January 10, 2018 My family and I are looking to hopefully do a cruise in August 2018. We are looking at Anthem of the Seas out of Cape Liberty or Grandeur of the Seas out of Baltimore? Any suggestions? It will be me, my husband and our two girls ages 12 and 7. Thanks for the help!:)

Krazy Kruizers Posted January 10, 2018 #4 Share Posted January 10, 2018 Welcome to Cruise Critic. A better place to ask questions about your ships and itineraries is on the RCI board at this link: https://boards.cruisecritic.com/forumdisplay.php?f=
cb at sea Posted January 10, 2018 #5 Share Posted January 10, 2018 To get the most from your time in ports, do a little research. A guidebook from your library is very helpful...or you can buy one! The more you know (especially with a family) the better time you can have without spending big bucks on excursions! The Caribbean is a very easy DIY place, but you do have to know something about where you're going!

lauren009 Posted January 11, 2018 #8 Share Posted January 11, 2018 My best advice is to join a Facebook group for the two ships you are intersted in sailing on and ask questions there. You can also find groups for the specific sailing you end up chosing. I'm in PA and also looking to cruise on one of those ships! Let me know which you pick! https://www.facebook.com/search/groups/?q=anthem%20of%20the%20seas https://www.facebook.com/search/groups/?q=grandeur%20of%20the%20seasblogg You will get answers that are specific to the crusie line and ships themselves. You will also get info you might not have thougth of from other peoples Q&As. Also look up Very Unofficial Travel Guide on YouTube. He has great videos about cruising in general and is a RCL fan. Dunno if he's been on your ships. Here is my packing list for when I cruise: http://laurenofalltrades.blogspot.com/2017/10/cruise-packing-list.html
jdvmd Posted January 11, 2018 #9 Share Posted January 11, 2018 Welcome! We all started somewhere. Definitely check out the roll call for the cruise that you decide upon. Also, spend some time on the Royal Caribbean board. Have fun!
