Shore>Mom Posted January 15, 2018 #1 Share Posted January 15, 2018 Planning a surprise quick 3 day on Sky in February. Time seems to be moving so fast and I really need this "us" time with my 15 yo. We aren't interested in kids clubs etc. It will be just us girls. ( lol my son and husband get to go to a Sox game). Anyway, she comes to bars with me to hear music occasionally. I enjoy my cocktail and we both enjoy the music or shows. I know she is not allowed in the casino but would she be able to go to say..a piano bar or comedy show? We aren't planning on being out late but I would like to take full advantage of the ships entertainment. Thanks in advance for any replies. Rare rjm11 Posted January 15, 2018 #2 Share Posted January 15, 2018 yes- she would be allowed with you everywhere but the casino. Another nice option is the spa- maybe a manicure or pedicure together?
Rare BirdTravels Posted January 15, 2018 #3 Share Posted January 15, 2018 The 3-day Sky is great,,, but time flies quickly. Your daughter would be fine just about anywhere on the ship. Lots of music everywhere every night. Rent a clamshell or umbrella while on GSC to keep out of the sun.
DMH15 Posted January 15, 2018 #4 Share Posted January 15, 2018 Yes. The bars are acceptable. They will serve her a virgin drink. I love NCL's MUDSLIDE. Sent from my iPhone using Forums
Two Wheels Only Posted January 15, 2018 #5 Share Posted January 15, 2018 Another nice option is the spa- maybe a manicure or pedicure together? Is the minimum age for the Spa 18 years-old? I read that it is 16 to use the gym and 18 for the spa.

There is no problem with a 16 year old getting a mani/pedi especially with mom.

There is an age limit for the thermal spa, but not for manicures/pedicures with a parent. My daughter was 8 when she had a manicure. I was right there next to her getting mine done. I'm sure they wouldn't have let her do a massage or something where she was alone, but this seemed just fine.

The therma-spa is strictly 18+, but the services section of the spa is not age limited, children just have to be with the parent.

Sauer-kraut Posted January 15, 2018 #12 Share Posted January 15, 2018 Thanks. I have daughters and didn't know. They might enjoy that. Check the spa menu because they often offer a girl's ice cream manicure.
Rare rjm11 Posted January 15, 2018 #13 Share Posted January 15, 2018 Check the spa menu because they often offer a girl's ice cream manicure. actually that's what my daughter had. It was a scented had wrap/lotion thing, painted nails, and then something else... maybe bath bombs to take home? and I think a dish of actual ice cream but I'm not sure. It was listed as a kid thing.
