The Fun Researcher Posted April 20, 2018 #76 Share Posted April 20, 2018 Comment - I see a positive spin on the removal of free room service meals. No more stacks of full plates in the hallways every morning! Either no one is ordering room service or the crew is doing a great job picking up. That is a positive spin. In all of our cruises we've never made use of room service so the fee doesn't really matter much to us. However, this is almost purely to RCCL's benefit, not the customer. It reduces the demand on staff (due to less room service being ordered), and they actually recoup some of the cost of the food and service versus before. Sounds like the cruise is going well so far! Happy cruising! Dan

SG65CB Posted April 20, 2018 #79 Share Posted April 20, 2018 We just finished the 6 hr Irie tour of Curaçao. Lots to see and do, and drinks for $65pp. Desert landscape even in the spring, but the beaches are amazing. Sorry to hear about Aruba. We stopped there and, while Aruba always has a breeze, the locals told us the weather recently has been much windier than usual. We took that same Irie tour last month. Enjoyed it a lot. Who is that jumping off the cliff? Is that you? We had a few jumpers on our bus.
racerxspeedy Posted April 21, 2018 #80 Share Posted April 21, 2018 We had 4 jumpers out of 16. I asked where they would take me if I got hurt. The response was Columbia - so I passed on the jumping this trip.

racerxspeedy Posted April 21, 2018 #82 Share Posted April 21, 2018 Leaving Nassau now - bittersweet ending. Hope to see NOS after drydock next year. One last picture from the beach today
racerxspeedy Posted April 22, 2018 #83 Share Posted April 22, 2018 Since we missed Aruba our final entertainers “Las Vegas Tenors” did not board until Nassau. We liked them enough to watch both shows. This is the start of a 50 week contract with RCI so you may see them on your next Caribbean cruise. They cover a lot of oldies mixed with classical tenor songs. Very well received by the audience. Thanks for staying tuned. The ship leaves today for Europe. Hope everyone has a great crossing! racerxspeedy Posted April 22, 2018 #84 Share Posted April 22, 2018 Slowest process ever with self disembarking. 8am line running twice the length of the ship. Now sitting in customs hold . Lesson - Don’t book an early flight if you cruise out of MIA. We should be good to make our 12:20 flight.
Rare LMaxwell Posted April 22, 2018 #85 Share Posted April 22, 2018 Slowest process ever with self disembarking. 8am line running twice the length of the ship. Now sitting in customs hold . Lesson - Don’t book an early flight if you cruise out of MIA. We should be good to make our 12:20 flight. Hope you made your flight! We had breakfast in MDR today; left dining room at 9:15 and were off the ship by 9:20; line never stopped moving. Had luggage and in our car by 9:50. Port Miami seems to really struggle getting customs agents to arrive on time. Safe trip home

Some passengers have received a email that the CL is being Operated as a SL due to the high number of diamond plus onboard for the ta. Some people have not received the email
